What are EDCs?

• EDCs are part of the European Commission’s (EC) Europe Direct information network

• Designated by the EC to promote and disseminate official publications and other sources of information provided by the European Union

• Its mandate is to inform, advice and direct students, academics and the public on how to obtain this information.

EDC-UNic• 2012 EDC-UNic opened in University of Nicosia

Library

• Dedicated section in the library for official EU publications, covering a wide range of subjects (economics, education, international relations, etc)

• Information leaflets, e.g. looking for work, Citizen rights, visas

• EDC is available to both academics & the public

• EDC manager is available:Mon-Fri: 8:00-17:00 (term-time)
