______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ** If you can’t cope with your old books, you are invited to donate them to our Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District, which does a marvelous job with book sales in support of the PPLD. They spin piles of second-hand books into gold, and invest book sale proceeds back into the libraries’ collections and services. You can drop donations (in good condition) at Adriance Memorial Library (preferred time is on Saturdays between 10am and 12pm -Noxon Street entrance), or by arrangement. E-mail [email protected] to arrange for large volume donation. Donated books are considered a non-cash charitable contribution by the IRS and are tax deductible (as are all gifts to the Library District). You can also call 485-3445 x
