what have i learnt since the preliminary task

1
I have learnt so much since the production of our preliminary task. I have effectively learnt how to create the best product efficiently and the tools needed to achieve this. Tools such as a screenplay, the shooting schedule and a treatment. These are very key techniques in being successful and best handling the limited deadlines we had. Making these tools to help organise production, made me realize how it will make the entire experience involving shooting editing and distributing run so much more smoothly and reduce rushing or stress. By completing our thriller’s production properly and in thorough detail. In the preliminary task we didn’t use the script or the screenplay which proved to be a bad choice. Although in our real project for Neurosis, I have quickly learnt that we need a screenplay, so we can focus on the sequence of the events in the thriller and how scenes develop and are structured, also giving cast and actors a clear guideline of what they should be doing every step of the shooting process, and eventually create a thriller with more content and impact. Also by having a clear idea and written plan of Neurosis’ path it means we could focus a lot more on techniques to improve our thriller such as Mise en scene and camera angles. I have also learned a lot more about time management, and how to use the small amount of time we had to the best of our ability. By organising ourselves individually, and contributing throughout. For the preliminary task we disregarded and didn’t acknowledge our shooting schedule, this resulted in many hours wasted and shooting the majority of scenes into hours of days before the deadline. Thankfully now I have full knowledge of the massive importance of having a shooting schedule that acts as a frame for our time and how to use it the best way.
