Based on market salary data in 2019 the average cost of one senior in-house talentacquisition professional is AED 340,788 annually*. Costs include; Salary, Employment visa, Medical insurance, Annual leave and ticketallowance, and EOSB. NOT included are the significant costs of technologies required to dothe job - Applicant Tracking Systems and Job Portal subscriptions. The cost of staffing companies is also high. The average recruitment fee for mid to seniorlevel placements is 15% of total annual salary per placement in the UAE.

We successfully made three senior level placements fora well-known manufacturer of gourmet FMCG items basedin Dubai in 2019; Factory Director, HR Director, and NationalSales Manager. At a placement fee of 15% of the totalannual salary, their total recruitment spend was AED247,500. An RPO model would have given the client 10 annualplacements at a total cost of AED 180,000. The placementscould have been used for vacancies of various designationsand career-levels. An RPO is more efficient and less expensive – 10placements at a cost per hire of AED 18,000 as opposed to 3placements at a cost per hire of AED 82,500.
