What Is Mom to Mom?

1. Mom to Mom is a ministry for moms of preschoolers, school-age children, and teens led by older moms called Titus 2 Leaders.

2. Mom to Mom is biblically-based, both in concept and in content.•Concept: Based on Titus 2:3-5.•Content: Bible-based; practically presented.

3. Mom to Mom simply draws on the experience and passion of older women in the church and provides a place for them to serve.

4. Mom to Mom is designed to be an ongoing ministry—not just a short-term class.•Moms can enter at any point.•It’s a three-year curriculum, which is repeatable cyclically.•There is both administrative and teaching curriculum.

5. Mom to Mom places a high priority on building caring relationships.

• The relationships built through small groups (young moms with each other) are key.

• The relationships built between each Titus 2 Leader and the moms in her group are key.

• The relationships build between the Titus 2 Leaders are important, also.

6. Mom to Mom meets felt needs of Moms.• It grew out of the requests from young moms for help with Christian parenting.

• It’s written by a mom from her own experience.

• It’s presented by a mom and small groups are led by experienced moms and provide lots of peer interaction under Godly leadership.

7. Mom to Mom is designed for both believers and seekers.

• Biblical knowledge is not assumed, but incorporated to include everyone.

• It draws seekers in by meeting them where they are and pointing them to Jesus.

8. Mom to Mom draws moms and their families into the church.

• It introduces moms to a safe place for them and their children.

• It points moms very intentionally to their need for spiritual growth.

9. Mom to Mom is different from MOPS.• MTM has a Biblically-based curriculum in addition to offering speakers and

workshops; MOPS relies on available speakers.• MTM small groups are led by Titus 2 experienced moms; MOPS groups are led

by young moms.• MTM is designed for moms of all ages/stages; MOPS is only for mothers of

preschoolers.

10. Mom to Mom was God’s idea (Titus 2 concept)—and it works!

• It’s already brought many moms and families to Christ—and grown many more (better—and happier moms, marriages, Christian homes).
