UiTM Perak student Zharif Mohd Nor won the top prize of RM20,000 after entering the Movie Animation Park Studios Perak (MAPS) logo design competition.

He was also offered a full time job with MAPS as its graphic designer. “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.

“I’m honoured to be offered a career with such a prestigious organisation and to be working closely with DreamWorks Animation,” he said after the prize presentation ceremony held at RTC Gopeng last Saturday.

Earlier in his speech, MAPS chief executive officer Darren McLean had announced the company’s intention to hire Zharif.

As its graphic designer, Zahrif would be responsible for all creative graphic design work such as advertisements, billboards and website design for Asia’s first and upcoming animation theme park, said McLean.

On the winning design, McLean said: “We wanted the logo to generate strong brand recall and to embody MAPS’s mission of fulfilling dreams and lifetime memories.” http://www.mapsperak.com/media.html
