What’s Culture Day?

• Culture Day is a fun, cumulative day where all the classes will teach something Culture Related.

• Culture Day is when the students (and parents!) get to dress up as people from History and come to school for a grade.

• Culture Day is Friday, May 24, 2013, and we hope you will come!

Costume Ideas for Culture Day

• Girls do not have to be this perfect!!

A long skirt, a blouse and an apron or shawl makes an outfit!

Boys do not have to be this perfect!

Costumes do not have to be expensive!!! Dig through the back

of your closets or check out the Good Will or Family Thrift for

inexpensive items!

• Girls – long skirts & dresses, flowered or solid shirts, aprons or shawls, hats

• Boys- dark pants, white shirts, tie/bolo, hats, vests, or jackets, Baseball pants for knickers!

Don’t Buy! Be creative!!

• Electric or duct tape makes an excellent stripe on pant legs or rank bars on jackets

• Any fabric or shawl makes an apron

• Table clothes make lovely shawls

• The Thrift store is an excellent place to shop for pieces. Start Now, May 24th will be here before you know it!!
