PRESIDENT’S NOTE . . .
Building Community Together . . . . Fayetteville Manlius Minoa
WHEW! We survived another summer of whirlwind activ-ities and are back to the "structured" world we live in . . . especially those that are glad that school is now back in session! Our big activity coming up is the Fayetteville Festival on September 20. No "after hours" events are currently planned . . . BUT if you would like to host one contact the office with some date options and we will try to work it into the schedule. This is for September or any time in the future. Our BUY LOCAL campaign starts October 1 and I hope everyone is taking advantage of the opportunity to be listed in the BUY LOCAL booklets (1,500 minimum to be pub-lished) for $35.00 per coupon/ad. Deadline is approach-ing - WEDNESDAY, September 10th. We have mailed and emailed information and applications, but contact the office if you can't find your copy. DO NOT GET LEFT OUT! We still have advertising links available on the web-site. This puts your business on our FRONT PAGE with a direct link to your website to offer any promotions or ser-vices you wish to highlight. We have limited space and if
you are a retail shop, line up your spot BEFORE the busy November and December shopping season comes around. We are excited about a new Lunch & Learn program put together by Matt DeLaney and his Manlius Library staff. It is a series of three programs in September, Octo-ber and November from 11:45-1; lunch is included . . . the cost is FREE, FREE, FREE!!! Space is limited to 24, so please RSVP as soon as you see the email/flyer with com-plete program description. Our Healthy Lifestyle Fair is Saturday, October 4th from 10 am -3 pm. Watch for more information in next month’s newsletter. 249 members and still counting. Your Chamber is active and enthused! Catch the fever and come along for the ride! See you at a September event and SHOP & BUY LOCAL as much as you can. Mike Mike Skeele Michael J. Skeele, CIC, CPIA Skeele Insurance

Optimize your Chamber Member Page for Search and Website Visitors Get the most out of your Member Page with an integrated con-tent and search strategy to optimize your ser-vices, products, images, and links (including newsletter PDFs). Websites typically focus on design while content and search engine tech-nology take a back seat - impacting search en-gine ranking. On Saturday, August 9, a fire totally destroyed an apartment building in the Carriage House East Apartment complex in Manlius. We as a Cham-ber, would like to assist the residents affected by the fire by asking you to contribute what you can to a fund established by one of our mem-bers, FM Community Outreach. Donation checks should be made payable to “Carriage House East Fire Fund” and mailed or dropped off at NBT Bank, another Chamber member, at 8250 Ca-zenovia Road, Manlius, NY 13104. Thank you for supporting our community. Contact organizer and member, Sue Landas, of Nothing New Antiques and Collectibles at [email protected] or 440-6902.
