JOOMLA! 3.2
• Last feature release before long term stable Joomla 3.5 in March 2014
• After 3.2, we'll be concentrating on fixing bugs for Joomla 3.5 and coding Joomla 4.
WHEN?
• 3.2 Alpha released 11th Sept 2013• 3.2 Beta 1 due 8th Oct 2013, then
weekly beta until RC1.• Joomla 3.2 planned to be released on
Nov 6th 2013
SECURITY
• Bcrypt• A serious security concern is the current
encryption used by Joomla passwords by default i.e. Salted MD5. While once an advanced method, it is no longer considered a strong solution. Currently BCrypt is considered the best available solution.
RAD (aka FoF)
• FOF = Framework on Framework• Rapid application development
framework for Joomla• Not standalone – it extends Joomla• Write less code, do more• Same code that powers Akeeba
products
USER INTERFACE
• If you only have one language installed, you wont see language drop down on admin login
AJAX INTERFACE
• An easier way for developers to provide Ajax support where it doesn't already exist.
APP STORE
After reviewing the current proposed code for 3.2 and the feedback from the community, the PLT has agreed that this proposal is not ready for inclusion in the CMS. There is no debate about desiring an app store in the CMS and it is something we would like to see happen down the road, but we don't feel that day is today.

APP STORE
• Actually, a compromise was reached on the App Store feature and that will be shared in the coming days. It won't be in the core distro, but we (PLT and the team working on it) came up with a solution that should work for everyone.
