Measure the elastic lace for your perfect fit. Tack the elastic lace and interfacing to the wrong side of the sleep mask BACK.

Cut around the eyelashes you have drawn leaving a rough margin. Peel away the protective paper and press the fusible web to the wrong side of the BLACK fabric. Steam iron over the backing paper to fuse.

Following the permanent marker lines on the backing paper, cut the eyelashes from the BLACK fabric. Peel away the backing paper to reveal the tacky surface of the fusible web. Place the eyelashes, tacky side down, onto the right side of the sleep mask FRONT. Steam iron to fuse. Machine or hand stitch along the top of the eyelashes to secure.

Trace the sleep mask template onto the wrong side of the PATTERNED fabric and cut 2 on the fold. Use a fabric pen to mark the seam allowance on the wrong side of one. This becomes the sleep mask BACK. Cut 1 from the interfacing.

Trace the eyelashes onto the backing paper of the fusible web using a permanent marker (trace onto the smooth side, where the opposite is slightly tacky).

With right sides facing, sew sleep mask BACK and FRONT together, leaving 1” gap at the top, being careful not to stitch over the elastic. Clip corners and trim close to seam. Turn right side out and slip stitch the gap. Your lovely sleep mask is now complete! Zzzzz...
