Support for Spica Zone Touch and Spica Zone Spot in Device Administration Portal
Spica Zone family has now two new members, Spica Zone Touch and Spica Zone Spot. Thefirst one is a standalone Time&Attendance terminal which can also be treated as a formal
successor of Zone Button terminal. Its main purpose is to collect clocking at the site and send
them to the system. It has integrated Ethernet connectivity and can be powered with PoEenabled switch or with external power adapter connected to the auxiliary power input. TheTouch also allows an extension to access control. In this case, the additional device (ZoneDoor) is needed.

Integration with TBS security system
Biometric technology made in Switzerland: Touchless Biometric Systems offers flexible, functional hardware and software for access control and time recording. The Integration isdone on the system level, which means that Time&Space (DAP) is communicating with TBS APIand not with a particular device. TBS devices can operate in online (the device must be fullyonline and a successful clocking causes user’s balance to be shown on the device) or off-line(when a user registers no balance is shown and the devices do not need to be online toregister a clocking) operation mode. Fingerprint template management is done in TBS system.

Integration with Assa Abloy Visionline system
Visionline is a wireless locking solution that has stand-alone electronic hotel locks operatingin online mode through Radio Frequency (RF-online) that is based on Zigbee high securityopen platform. The Integration is done on the system level, which means that Time&Space(DAP) is communicating with Visionline API, not with a specific device. Visionline devices mustbe fully online to make a clocking. User cards can be encoded in Time&Space or Visiolinesystem.

Enhanced communication protocol for Spica Zone devices
Communication protocol for Spica Zone devices (Zone Wing and Zone Spot) in DeviceAdministration Portal has been upgraded to operate more reliably in the most challengingenvironments. We have implemented the following updates:
Access profile checksum - When Reload Profiles action is executed in the system, acheck sum token is stored in system's and device's database. The system afterwardsperiodically checks if these two tokens match. If the token from the device equals thetoken from the database, then the system just checks if there are some unsynchronizedprofile changes for the specific device and executes Update Profiles action. In the casewhen the tokens are not equal then Reload Profiles action is made for the specific deviceand a new token is generated.
Faster access profile reloads - The way how access profiles are sent to the device hasbeen changed. Now the profiles are grouped in sets, rather than being sent individuallyfor each badge. Since the set size is customizable, we can optimize the systemperformance according to the environment specifics.
This functionality also requires an appropriate update on the hardware side, Zone Wingapplication ver. 2.40 or higher is required.
OSDP readers support for Spica Zone Wing
Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP™) is a communications protocol that allowsperipheral devices such as card readers and biometric readers to interface with control panelsor other security management systems. Each Zone Door unit can drive up to 4 OSDP readers, which are connected to RS485 pins. The new protocol also offers advanced reader'smonitoring possibilities, such as offline reader alarm and tamper alarm. This functionality alsorequires an appropriate update on the hardware side, Zone Wing application ver. 2.40 andZone Door FW ver. 1.3.0 or higher is required.

Enhanced Data Security
Protection of data integrity is especially important when collecting personal data. The accessto Time&Space data have been restricted and is now available solely through the Time&SpaceSDK. This means, that events (time or space) which will be entered directly into database willnot be taken into account in the system.
Enhanced Data Security
Space API - Integration Ready
Updated Space API will enable third-party developers to also manage access profilemanagement such as user's badges, manage assigned badges, manage badge validity, etc.,along with the existing functionality. The API offers RESTful commands for completefunctionality, while requests and responses are formatted as JSON. To make it secure, theclient must authenticate itself with a token before accessing the API.

Enhanced Space API loggingManage visitor shortcutsMissing time&attendance clockingsEncoding 26 bit iClass cards on Aperio locks
Enhanced Space API logging
Space API log has been expanded with records of a user based actions (e.g. update/reloadprofiles, update alarms etc.).
Manage visitor shortcuts
The select visitor dialogue in Time&Space Manager has gained two new shortcuts, Add andedit visitor. With them, Front Space operator can manage visitors without switching back tothe Users view.
Missing time&attendance clockings
In some Time&Space 8.50 and 10.00 versions (see below for the complete list), there was apossibility that some time clockings made on terminals were missing due to a flaw in the autocorrection algorithm of the Device Administration Portal.
We were able to recreate the above problem when following these steps:
1. User has made a time clocking on a device which was operating in off-line mode andtherefore clocking was not immediately sent to Time&Space system.2. Afterwards the same user made another time clocking on a different device which wasoperating either in:
on-line mode or off-line mode, but only if its operating mode was changed to on-line while the first devicewas still in off-line mode.
What's New35
© 2017 Spica International
3. In this situation time clockings from the second device were transmitted first to theTime&Space system.4. When the first device came back on-line, its clockings could be misidentified as correctionsof already stored clockings from the second device and therefore some of them could be lost.
This issue is present in Time&Space versions:
• 8.50.e,• 8.50.g ,• 10.00.a,• 10.00.b,• 10.00.c.
This issue is resolved with Time&Space versions:
