Description

Construction of a new apron with a 750-m linear quay wall, extending seaward up to 50 m (37.5 m in front of the new berth); expansion of back-up areas; reconfiguration of the port layout reflecting international-standard port operations; and provision of cargo handling equipment.

Improve trade and access to Mindanao by providing a dedicated containerized port in the region. Modern container port with 2700 ground slots and capable of handling up to 9000 TEU ships.

Construction of an 8-km elevated, expressway extending the NLEX southward from the end of Segment 10 in C3 Road, Caloocan City to PUP Sta. Mesa, to connect to the Common Alignment of the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 (MMS3).

Will reduce travel time from SLEX to NLEX from about 1.5 to 2 hours to 15-20 minutes, as well as reduce travel time from Clark to Calamba from about 3 hours to 1 hour and 40 minutes.

• Initiated in 2013 by the Metro Cebu Development and Coordinating Board (MCDCB) with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Yokohama City

• Aims to formulate a long-term roadmap to realize the Mega Cebu Vision 2050; identify short, medium, and long term priority projects; and prepare hazard maps covering Metro Cebu and the northern part of the province.

• Recommended 14 anchor programs by the IAs, LGUs and the MCDCB during the Roadmap period until 2050. Ten (10) flagship projects were recommended (PhP21,848 million) requiring immediate actions in the short-term (i.e., 2015 to 2017) and to be completed until 2020.
