A compassionate collection Holy Trinity Church’s Mission Possible Committee is collecting items for the Collingswood Food Pantry. Each month, the group adopts a different theme. grab a window seat! Perkins Center for the Arts, located at 30 Irvin Ave, is looking outside the box! An exhibit, called “Through My Window,” features the work of 25 artists from Philadelphia’s Da Vinci Art Alliance who were each given a salvaged window and instructed to turn their window into a work of art. This was no easy task for the artists; there is no escaping a window’s original function and form. Participants were required to express an individual interpretation while breathing new life into an everyday object. The results and the exhibit will appeal to art lovers of all ages. The club hosts an Open Dance on the third Saturday of each month at the Collingswood Cloud Masonic Lodge (790 Haddon Ave, 2nd Floor). The next event: Sep 18. Are your moves a little rusty? No worries! Workshops will be held at 6:30pm and at 7:30pm, prior to the Open Dance which takes place from 8:30pm to 12:30am. The public is invited to attend.
