WelcomeWelcome to the latest guide to What’s On at the Museum of Oxford, Gallery and The Old Museum.
Well, it’s the start of another year with more goals and things to achieve. And here at the Museum of Oxford we’re no different! Over the course of the year, starting with this What’s On issue, we will be announcing various special events and activities as we count down to celebrating the Museum of Oxford’s 40th Anniversary – 40 events to celebrate 40 years. Throughout the year, we will announce various ways in which you will be able to contribute as well as celebrate with us. Our finale events will be held on the 10–12 December, so save the dates in your diaries now.
We are excited to be working in partnership with a range of other cultural organisations to deliver this season’s programme. This guide is packed with family activities and heritage tours to performances, film, talks, readings and book signings to exhibitions in the Gallery from Oxford’s top artists and community groups. We look forward to welcoming you in our three venues in Oxford’s historic Town Hall.

City landmarks and buildings take on new meaning as their war-time role is revealed. The drama is performed in the Old Museum at Oxford Town Hall, the site of one of Oxford’s WW1 military hospitals.
