Curated News (2) What’s the difference between
UI and UX design?
Throughout time and many projects, I learned the fact that there are many, many individuals that don’t understand the difference between UI and UX design…and I’m not even surprised. It’s a complex area of expertise that needs to take a lot of things into consideration when referring to the terms “UI and UX”.
First of all UI (aka ‘GUI’) stands for Graphical User Interface and UX stands for User Experience. I found many definitions which describe very accurately the terms of UI, but in my personal opinion the simplest and shortest is the following: the UI is the graphical illustration of the UX process. On the other hand, the UX is the process of planning, creating & enhancing the customer interaction and the product/website usability.
