Wheel Thrown Series 1. Students will be required to complete a series of four identical wheel thrown bowls. The minimum height and diameter is four inches. The maximum wall thickness is three-eighths of an inch. Work that does not meet the minimum requirements will receive an overall sixty percent. 2. Students will be required to create bowls that have a repetitive decoration, texture or painted on the rim. This decoration maybe either on the inside or outside. 3. Students will be required to create perfectly symmetrical bowls. Bowls that do not meet this requirement will not be accepted for grading. 4. Students will be required to foot all four bowls. Ware that is not footed will not be accepted.

The Rubric for this task

• 100-90 Students who achieve at the highest level for this grading criteria and who demonstrate an extra creative effort may receive this score for their work.

• 89-80 Students who are proficient for this grading criteria and who demonstrate active class involvement may receive this score for their work.

• 79-70 Student who have a basic grasp of this grading criteria and demonstrates active class involvement and/or limited application of the concept may receive this score for their work.

• 69-60 Students are at below basic proficiency for this grading criteria and demonstrates limited class involvement and limited application of the concept may receive this score for their work.

• 59-0 Students who submit work that is unacceptable for this criteria and who demonstrates limited class involvement may receive this score for their work.
