Topic Information
The topic for this half term is SUPER HEROES
Who is your favourite super hero? Spider-Man? Wonder Woman? Maybe your heroes are ordinary people who’ve achieved great things. Or is it these people who save lives in our emergency services that you admire the most?

Helping at Home
The class BLOG will be updated every Tuesday with information about what has been happening in our class. There will also be information about what we hope to be coving

Reading Activities Library: Become a member of your local library. Choose books from different authors and different genres.
Younger siblings: Read a bath time or bed time story to a little brother or sister.
Shopping: If you have time when shopping ask your child to find a certain aisle. Explain they need to look
at the signs above the aisles.
Number Plates: During car journeys children have to spot the letters A-Z in car number plates.
Reading Reward Chart: If your child reads 5 pages a day for a whole week give they can earn a reward. Writing Activities
Magnetic letters: Get children playing with words by having them on the fridge.
Shopping List: Get your child to write down the shopping list as you say it. As a reward they can write a
final item of fruit (or whatever you choose) to add to the list.
Postcard to Miss Spencer: If you ever go anywhere at the weekend get your child to write me a postcard
or letter to tell me all about their trip!
Writing about Reading: once you have read a book, write a character description, book review or letter
