LocationMauna Lani is undergoing an extensive redesign and revitalization and will reopen in November 2019 as one of Hawaii’s finest resorts after a $200 million transformation.

Perfectly located 25 minutes from Kona Airport (KOA) along the exclusive, sun-drenched Kohala Coast on the Island of Hawaii (nicknamed The Big Island), the re-imagined Mauna Lani will feature 30 oceanfront acres with three miles of secluded shoreline and will draw its inspiration from its stunning setting.

The dramatic redesign will touch every area, creating a new level of intimacy and maximizing the resorts oceanfront location. New gathering places, fitness and wellness options, watersports and all new dining experiences will welcome guests. AccommodationsThe 333, all new accommodations include re-imagined ocean view guest rooms, 36 luxury suites, five exclusive bungalows and the new Francis Brown Suite.

BungalowsThe five private Bungalows at Mauna Lani are secluded yet conveniently located within a minute’s walk of the resort. Privacy is maintained with a separate arrival, gated driveway and private access to the beach. Each bungalow features 4,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor living space, including two bedrooms, three baths, a private swimming pool and spa.

GolfThe resort features two 18-hole courses, Mauna Lani North & South. Carved from lava fields, the courses are rated among the most beautiful courses in the world, and are managed in partnership by Troon.

Auberge Spa & FitnessThe all new 5,000 sq ft fitness center has been added to the resort on the lower level, and includes five treatment rooms. The on-site spa and fitness center is in addition to the Mauna Lani Spa & Sports Club located minutes away from the hotel.

DiningAuberge brings culinary expertise and creativity to every aspect of the resort. Mauna Lani will offer a myriad of dining options to explore the tastes of Hawaii. Take in the views of the pools and ocean at the HaLani Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving the freshest ingredients from the island in a relaxed casual environment. If you are off to explore the island, The Market will be available featuring fresh brewed coffee and pastries, wraps and sandwiches, and an assortment of wines, cheeses and cured meats. An all-new Surf Shack will tempt the palate with fresh island poke, shaved ice and cold libations. The resort’s signature dining experience will be found ocean-side at Canoe House.
