DESCRIPTION

During my time working as an intern/PR assistant at Nobull Communications, I was required to research into the healthy, protein ice-cream brand; WheyHey! I was also required to brainstorm some new creative ideas for potential campaigns for the product to help drive more success for the brand in terms of awareness, customer base and sales. All details are explained throughout and enjoy!

BENEFITS OF WHEYHEY ICE-CREAM

More frequent replies to customer wall posts, queries,

comments, reviews etc.)

Information/Images need to be posted on a much more

regular basis

products can be bought should be more visible to

potential customers.

Hash tags could be used more to help users find the

brand much easier; potentially increasing sales

revenue and awareness

Incentives such as exclusive discount vouchers or

codes can be offered to Twitter followers to potentially

increase website traffic, sales profits etc.

POTENTIAL IDEAS

1) Partner with upcoming events/holidays (if possible)

“National Ice-Cream Week” (30th May – 5th June 2013) or

“National Ice-Cream Month” (July 2013)

Virgin London Marathon (21st April 2013)

2) “Whey Hey Sports Day” Event during Summer 2013 can be staged?

(Central London-based if possible, busy with tourists, shoppers and many

potential consumers during the summer)

A sports-day event can be a good PR method to help get the public and

potential customers involved for Whey Hey ice-cream. For example, fun

sports can be conducted throughout the day for children, men & women.

Whey Hey ice-cream can then be offered for sale during the day/hot weather

to help cool down or for a sweet treat (people may be more likely to

purchase as it is a healthy alternative to ice-cream vans, other brands on the

market etc.) The event can be advertised through the official

website/blog/social media etc.

3) Leisure Industry Week Trade Show 2013

(Additional information regarding a stand for Whey Hey Ice-Cream at the

4) “Guilt-Free Sweet-Treats” WheyHey Campaign

For example, marketing images can be constructed of popular sports

players (e.g. tennis, football, cricket etc./celebrity endorsements) playing

the activities. Balls can then be photo-shopped into a WheyHey ice-

cream scoop. Annotations can then be added reinforcing benefits (e.g.

helps muscle growth, burns body fat etc; perfect for losing weight or

playing your favourite sport). This then reinforces the guilt-free aspect of

the product. The audience can then get involved via an online

competition by sending in images of themselves enjoying WheyHey

“guilt-free” to relate to the overall campaign idea. The winner of the

competition can then be decided by poll or chosen by WheyHey staff for

the best image. Potential ideas for prizes for the winner can be a month’s

supply of WheyHey ice-cream, discount vouchers etc. Overall, this could

help improve SEO for the WheyHey brand and potentially appeal to

wider audiences.

5) Cinema Snack Idea (healthy alternative to popcorn, for example)

Temporary Stand/“Pop-Up Shop”? (Whey-Hey Ice-Cream can be offered

to cinema goers as a healthy alternative to popcorn, pick & mix etc.

Hunger and cravings are reduced from eating the ice-cream so you don’t

have to leave the cinema & miss the film to get snacks)

Short Video or Image? (Whey-Hey can be advertised in a similar format

to an upcoming film for example, e.g. “introducing the no.1 healthy ice-

cream; including many benefits such as...)

CONCLUSION

WheyHey is an incredible product which tastes good and more

importantly, “does what it says on the tin”; delivering on what it

promises in terms of health and lean muscle-building capacity.

WheyHey Ice Cream is perfect for anyone; if you want to give your

children a healthy but tasty treat, to cool down after playing sport or

to add to any weight-loss diet!

As satisfying as it is healthy, in a blind test of 500 customers,

WheyHey came in at the number one spot regarding taste and

texture. Overall, the flavours are subtle, but enticing with a smooth

and creamy texture.

WheyHey is high-tech ice cream that’s appropriate for anyone

who wants to stay healthy but still indulge from time to time. It

also encourages the body to burn extra calories and more fat,

thus helping weight-loss.
