Reflections Theme Search Contest for Reflections 2018/2019Deadline October 31

Reflections invites students to submit a concept to be consideredfor a future Reflections program theme. One national student

winner will receive a $100 award and recognition at the NationalPTA Convention.

Whitaker Backpack ProgramSweet and Salty Snacks Are Needed

Whitaker's Backpack Program provides Whitaker studentsexperiencing food insecurity with a little extra sustenance overweekends and holidays. The program is supported entirely throughdonations and we need your help! Individually wrapped sweet andsalty snacks are needed. Examples include:

Sweet snacks:Chewy granola barsBags of cookiesYogurt-covered pretzels, etc.

Salty snacks:Bags of goldfishBags of chipsPeanut butter/cheese crackers

ALL SNACKS MUST BE INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED.Please drop off in the boxes in the foyer.

FALL FEST RAFFLE 2016

Thank you for helping the Fall Fest Raffle raise much neededmoney for our school! This raffle is the main revenue source forFall Fest, grossing about $20,000 each year! This money allows thePTA to pay for many of the needs at our school - curriculum supportmaterials, classroom supplies, musical instruments, books in theMedia Center, art supplies, technology, physical education andrecess equipment, staff holiday and end-of-year gifts, and much,much more!

Here is what you need to know about Fall Fest Raffle 2015:*The Raffle runs from Friday, October 14th until Friday, October28th. The drawing will occur at Fall Fest at 8:00 p.m. on Friday,October 28th.*Each student with receive a Raffle packet - look for it in yourchild's backpack on Thursday, October 13th. The packet will containRaffle information and sheets of tickets to sell. This envelope willbe used to return your student's sold tickets and money. Pleasesend back or recycle unused sheets of tickets!*Tickets are $1 each and there are 10 tickets on each sheet.Please do not cut the ticket sheets; turn in whole sheets (even ifthey aren't all filled out!). Extra raffle packets and ticket sheets willbe available in the office.*Students should put sheets of tickets with money in the providedRaffle packet envelop and bring it to homeroom. Students will earnincentive prizes for selling raffle tickets; please refer to the Raffleinformation sheet to know what your student can win at each level.*A daily ticket-seller winner and class participation winner willbe announced each afternoon - so don't save all your tickets toturn in on the last day!*Each student who sells tickets will be entered into a randomdrawing to win a week of summer camp at Camp Hanes!*The top ticket seller will win an Amazon Kindle Fire - so put onyour sales cap and let's get ready to sell some tickets!
