Question one:

Question one shows that the majority of our results are from 16-20 which is our ideal target audience, thus the results are reliable and valid.

Question two:

As shown by the graph the majority of the applicants were female which suit sour listener profile (Sophie, female) but is still fairly balanced with the Males.

Question three:

Most people only listen to the radio 1-2 times a week and when I asked them why they mostly said they play it in the background and therefore don’t listen to it fully.

Question 4:

The results have shown that many of our applicants rarely listen to the news.Two other people has stated that they don’t put the radio on purposefully to listen to the news. We want to try to change this and get the younger generation into the news.

Planet rock was mentioned twice.There are three main stations that people listen to:• Radio 1• Jack FM• CapitalTherefore, we want to research into their style of broadcasting and use their techniques and hopefully improve on them.

The main reason that the majority of our applicants listen to the news is because they feel its informative. We therefore want to adapt this into our news broadcasts and improve on them to make an even greater broadcast. We will also look at the other opinions so we can combine the best of the best.

The three most popular sections of a news bulletin are: • Community stories• Entertainment• And weather.Thus, we want to combine these three and include them in our new bulletin to create an all-round suitable show that suits our target audience.

We will look at all the different aspects of why people dislike the news bulletins and either leave them out or adapt them to make it better.

Question 9:Unfortunately, many people don’t want to see another radio station. But we want to change their opinions and create a really good radio station but more importantly with a impressive news bulletin.

The last question doesn’t really resolve much. I hope this is because they didn’t have anything else to say and that our survey was thorough.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, from our survey I think we have found out what our target audience want from a new radio & news bulletin. From this information we can build a positive news bulletin. This survey should help us a lot because most of our target audience answered it so the information must be accurate.
