Work in ProgressThe DYNO Whitepaper is an ever-evolving piece of work. We strive to make all developments and changes as transparent as possible. A Word From Our CEOBefore you delve into the DYNO Whitepaper, I would like to share with you the story of how DYNOSTICS and DYNO came to be.

Our experience building a number of lifestyle and fitness businesses, helped us become aware of a major problem in the industry. All training, nutrition, and lifestyle products and services were built on a standardized, mathematically formulated average of people’s fitness and metabolic values. Since each person is different, basing these products and services on average values is a flawed approach.

Our Co-Founder, Peter, was a semi-professional football player in his younger years. He then went on to train the team in which he played. Aware of the importance of regular diagnosis, Peter would send his team to a sports medicine center on a yearly basis. This annual exercise would cost the team an average of 4,000€; a substantial amount of money for a semi-professional team.

Peter was frustrated that diagnostics required medical staff, relied on obsolete tech, and were overly expensive. He knew there had to be a more modern, smarter, and cheaper way to run these kinds of tests. However, he couldn’t find any machine or device on the market that satisfied his needs.

Building upon that frustration, Peter and I decided to reinvest the money we earned from our previous exits into building a game-changing diagnostics device. We teamed up with Manfred who was already running five diagnostic centers in Germany and worked with both amateur and professional athletes on a daily basis. With the help of our engineering partner, we developed the revolutionary DYNOSTICS device: the first smart, mobile, and low-cost, fitness and metabolic analysis device.

Our device has now shipped to over 25 countries and is used by global brands like Red Bull. However, we soon realized we needed a fair and secure way of treating the highly sensitive data we were collecting. This is why we decided to start DYNO, the first blockchain-powered fitness and metabolic data marketplace. We do not wish the be the custodians of our users data and we certainly do not want to be selling off their personal data to third-parties. We vehemently believe that people should be the sole proprietors of their data and the only ones deciding with whom to share their personal information.

We want the world to become a healthier and fairer place where people’s data isn’t treated like a simple commodity. Finally, the DYNO marketplace will enable researches and institutions to access data that was previously unavailable on such a large scale in the fields of health and fitness.

DYNOSTICS® has developed the first mobile, smart and affordable system for performance

and metabolism analysis. Our breakthrough device can determine a user’s current state of

fitness in just a few minutes, by analyzing his breathing gases. The measurements data is

sent to the DYNOSTICS® App and interpreted by the DYNOSTICS® algorithm in real time.

The App shows users within which pulse ranges they burn fat, increase performance, or when

their body over-acidifies. Furthermore, the App tells users how their body processes food and

suggests customized diet and training programs. This data empowers users to reach their

individual fitness goals more effectively. All these tests are performed without the need for

medical supervision.

The system we developed is most advanced of its kind and the sensor is currently patent-

pending. DYNOSTICS® is constantly working on additional analytical devices and intends to

become the world leader in smart body analytics.

The Problem Our extensive background in the sports industry, helped us realize that both athletes and non-

athletes desperately needed a better way to analyze their fitness and metabolic data. These

tests were lengthy, out-of-reach, relied on obsolete tech, and required medical assistance. The

data collected from these tests would be stored locally and thus, remain vulnerable to attacks

and abuses of all kinds.

As we developed this breakthrough device, we became increasingly aware that we needed a

fair, safe, and secure way to store the highly-sensitive data we collected. With the advent of

Distributed Ledger Technology, it became clear that DYNOSTICS could break new ground by

developing the first blockchain-based marketplace for sports and metabolic data.

We also plan to open the DYNO ecosystem to all third-party, tracking and fitness devices. Users

will be able to get a holistic view of their fitness data, and researchers will be able to purchase

extremely complete and secure databases.

Solution & Blockchain Use-Case

Thanks to Blockchain technology, our users will be able to dispose of their personal data as

they see fit and share it with partners whom they trust, in an anonymized way. With the user’s

approval and by paying them a fee, Universities, insurance companies, doctors, sports and fit-

ness companies and clinical researchers will be able to access extremely valuable data sets.

The purchase of these kinds of highly-precise and verifiable data sets is currently impossible

even in centralized marketplaces, as there are simply no devices that can record this kind of

performance and metabolic data.

We bring together data owners and data purchasers. The owner is in full control of which data

is shared and how the data should/could be used for. In exchange for their data, users (data cre-

ators) will receive DYNO tokens (ERC20 token) from data purchasers through our marketplace. Of

course, the data remains fully anonymous in every single transaction. Through our marketplace,

users will be able to join ongoing studies, make certain adjustments to their lifestyle to fit the

requirements of the study, and earn DYNO tokens in exchange of their participation.

We intend to make the management of DYNO tokens as easy as possible. A DYNO wallet will be

integrated through our entire suite of apps and will make the exchange of data, between users

and purchasers, completely seamless. Users will not need to know how to exchange or transfer

tokens. Data owners will be able to use their DYNO tokens on other online marketplaces or

exchange them to their fiat currency of choice.

Our Goal

Our open source, blockchain-secured, fitness data marketplace, will enable us to have a global

impact. Our users will be the sole custodians of their data, and thus, free from malicious use of

their sensitive personal information. Researchers, companies, and institutions will have access to

better databases, which will lead to better research results, and eventually improve the health

of people worldwide.

Our Backstory

Everyone burns fat, increases performance (condition build-up), and over-acidifies (anaerobic

threshold), within different pulse ranges. These individual pulse ranges are obtained exclusively

through lactate measurements (blood sample), or through a respiratory gas analysis (spiroergometry).

Running such tests in a professional diagnostic center would cost an average of 150 Euros. Due

to the inefficiency and expensive nature of these tests, a majority of recreational athletes (over

90%) train poorly. Since they are unaware of their pulse values, they either train too quickly in

over-acidified areas or too slowly, which results in unsuccessful training. This problem is rampant

in sports clubs, fitness studios, and throughout the health and sports sector.

These tests tend to be extremely costly because analysis machines cost, on average, 50,000 Euros.

Apart from being prohibitively expensive, such systems are not mobile and require medical

assistance. As a result, fitness studios, personal trainers and sports clubs were unable to offer

such tests to their customers. However, in professional sports, performance analyses have been

standard for decades. We wanted to bring the tests available to high-level athletes, to the masses,

in order to improve the health of people globally.

So, we set out to build a game-changing device that would completely transform how people

could analyze their metabolic and fitness data. We designed a mobile-first system, capable of

running an analysis with extreme efficiency, at a fraction of the cost of existing methods.. Our

device is such a breakthrough it’s already been adopted by hundreds of fitness clubs, sports

teams, and corporate partners around the world.

Target Market

Our target customers are fitness studios, personal trainers, sports clubs, and companies in the

sports & fitness industries. A range of clients who were unable to offer such tests to their clients

in the past, due to prohibitive cost of equipment. We rely on our B2B customers to offer the tests

to end customers, and to act as our product evangelists.

Our device has been on the market for the past 14 months and has shipped to over 25 countries.

Product Description

Our device can determine a user’s performance and metabolic data in a few minutes, by analyzing

the gases they inhale & exhale. Our method is based on ‘spiroergometry’. Metabolic data is

captured through a breathing unit and performance data through a pulse belt. The breathing

unit is an oxygen mask, comprised of an array of sensors. A turbine is attached to the mask. It

ensures that a constant flow of air is drawn from the breathing unit and measures the volume

of air that passes through it. An arm device pumps the air, receives the data from the pulse belt

and breathing unit, and sends it to our cloud, via Bluetooth. The data is then interpreted by our

algorithm in real time and rendered in a digestible format, on our app.

After completing these short series of tests, the user has access to a treasure trove of information.

For example, the tests will tell users within which pulse ranges they increase performance or

burn fat. Through the app, they’ll be able to know how they process food, which kind of diet to

follow, and how best to reach their fitness goals.

Metabolism Analysis

With the new DYNOSTICS 2.0 Metabolism Function, our nutrition test can be completed in

under 5 minutes. It only requires the person to breath through the oxygen mask. The test gives

a precise analysis of the user’s basal metabolic rate (BMR: daily calorie needs and proportion of

carbohydrates, fat, protein). The results of the test are immediately available on our companion

app.

• Smart measurements: Highly-precise analysis of individual basal metabolic rate (BMR).

• Time-Effective: 5-minute rest test is enough to provide a holistic nutritional analysis.

• Custom nutritional recommendations: Our app will provide custom diet suggestions based

Performance Analysis

When undertaking a performance test, users wear our breathing device and pulse belt while

undergoing a short stress test (e.g. running on a treadmill). The data from the stress test is collected,

analyzed, and rendered to the user in a comprehensive format. The user will be able to know

in which pulse ranges they burn the most fat, when they increase performance, and when their

muscles in the anaerobic area over-acidify.

Advantages of our performance test:

• Highly-personalized training programs: Our app will provide the best training programs,

based on the data it received from the stress test.

• Optimal Pulse Range: Analysis of fat and carbohydrate metabolism during exercise (aerobic

vs. anaerobic). The user will know within which pulse ranges they are most likely to achieve

their goals (fat loss or increased performance).

• Smart Analysis System: Fully automated, extremely efficient, in-depth body and metabolism

analysis that requires no medical expertise.

Training Control

We suggest that measurements be taken 3-4 times a year under physical strain - either in the

gym, with a club trainer, or a DYNOSTICS partner.

Through regular DYNOSTICS performance and metabolism analysis, athletes can fine-tune their

training and diet with extreme precision. DYNOSTICS facilitates individual training and nutrition

planning, by giving people optimal control and management over their bodies.

State of Development

After two years of development, DYNOSTICS successfully market-launched in 2016. In partner-

ship with our technology partner KNESTEL, we’ve been consistently improving the hardware side

of our product. We also work on delivering regular software updates and improving our UI/UX.

We recently launched the DYNOSTICS 2.0 Metabolism Function called “NUTRITION”. Thanks

to this function, we can now determine one’s individual metabolism in under 5 minutes. The

user receives his exact basal metabolic rate (calories consumed per day), along with how much

carbohydrates, fat and protein their body burns. The app then generates individually tailored

nutrition and training recommendations. Thanks to this new feature, we will be able to expand

into the larger nutrition market.

DYNOSTICS is always looking forward to building new smart measurement devices. We are proud

to announce we are already researching a device to analyze body fat. Development will begin

in Autumn 2018 and the product launch is planned for 2019.

Patent / Licence

The patent for on our respiratory device was filed a year ago. It currently is in the 18-month

examination phase. Our proprietary algorithm for automated evaluation of bodily data can’t,

unfortunately, be patent-protected. We came to this conclusion after an extensive review with

our patent lawyers. However, the algorithm is stored in our cloud and cannot be copied or stolen.

Data Providers

Data providers record their training performances with DYNOSTICS devices or any, approved

and verified, third-party tracking device.

Data Purchasers

The safe and secure storage of collected data is of paramount importance to DYNOSTICS.

Basic user data such as age, location, and weight are stored on the Ethereum blockchain.

This information remains unencrypted as to be accessible by search engines. All performance

tracking and highly-sensitive data is encrypted, anonymized, and stored in a BigchainDB1

network cluster. In addition, an IPFS2 cluster is used to store general purpose files.

DYNO Token Holders

DYNO Tokens power the entire data ecosystem. The transfer of tokens between data owners

and purchasers makes the token a valuable means of exchange.

DYNO tokens are seamlessly integrated in our DYNOSTICS Apps. We provide an effortless

way for users to convert the tokens into their local currency. Data buyers can easily purchase

DYNO tokens from our apps and web platforms. To facilitate the purchase and sale of

tokens, the marketplace and App will integrate with the Request Network. A blockchain

based service for payments, in which payment requests can be done from Fiat to Crypto or

the other way around.

When signing up to the DYNO platform, users remain the sole custodians of their data and

explicitly choose with whom to share their data. All data exchanges are handled through

a smart contract.

Privacy settings available to users:

Along with restricting access to their data, data owners can put time locks the data they

choose to share. The entire process is handled by a smart contract. Upon expiry of the

blockchain. User data consists of the values on the right.

This kind of personal data is highly private and thus,

extremely sensitive. It will be stored in a secure way on

the blockchain and only retrievable with the user’s private

key (password).

Purchase of Data on the DYNO Network

Data users or purchasers are comprised of research institutes, insurance companies, and various

institutions in the health, sports, and fitness sector. In fact, a quite large breadth of actors could

act as data purchasers. The following paragraphs will delve deeper into how data purchasers

would go about acquiring data sets on the DYNO platform.

Let’s take the hypothetical example of a research institute needing to prove a particular theory,

by implementing certain adjustments in people’s fitness and nutritional habits. The institute is

looking to study a group, within a certain age bracket, that changed their lifestyle in the past two

years. On the DYNO marketplace, the researchers could publish a request to study people who

fit their particular criteria. Users who match that criteria would receive an offer on their DYNO

app, and sign a smart contract when they accept to take part in the study. On the other end, the

institute is guaranteed to receive verifiable and completely valid data sets.

Data owners would receive the first batch of DYNO tokens in exchange for their pre-existing, data.

The remaining tokens would be released when the dietary and fitness changes required by the

study are respected. For example, that could be going from three major meals a day to two, and

switching from strength to cardio workouts.

Study participants would track the data through their smart analytic devices. Each time they

contribute new data, the smart contract will pay out users in DYNO tokens. Once the study ends,

the smart contract automatically rescinds data access privileges to the purchaser.

Throughout the whole process, there is no direct communication between data purchasers and

data owners.; the data always remain fully anonymous.

DYNO Network and Data Validation

All data is encrypted and protected using AES256 encryption with a 256-bit key size for every

128-block. This ensures the absolute data security of all data on our network.

While third-party tracking devices can be integrated into the DYNO Network, they must be tied

to the user’s unique DYNO account, as to ensure the data’s validity. Third-party tracking devices

have a unique signature registered within the DYNOSTICS system. It is not possible to use to

register the device on multiple accounts. Devices are linked to user profiles, via hash, and stored

in a smart contract. All data communication between different components of the system are

backed up by a secure HTTPS connection.

The DYNO Network makes all new users pass KYC, through our partner’s IDnow identity verification

service.

DYNO Web Platform

The DYNO Web Platform is a powerful tool for storing and sharing fitness and metabolic data.

The platform ties together Ethereum smart contracts, with distributed blockchain storage,

and a powerful, easy to use, web application.

The platform enables Data Owners to:

• Track their fitness performance

• Access the DYNO marketplace

• Receive payments for their data

The main purpose of the DYNO Web Platform is to interface data purchasers and data buyers,

effectively creating supply and demand for fitness and metabolic data. Supply is the data generated

by our users and demand come from data purchasers who want to run studies.

All users of the DYNO platform store their profile on Ethereum, and access it through Metamask3 .

After a successful login, users can access all the platform’s features. The user displays all connected

tracking devices and allows users to add new ones. When using such performance recording

devices, each new record appears in the “Recorded Sessions” area and is automatically synced

with the blockchain data set of the user.

Through the platform, users can accept, reject or counter data access offers. If the user has

enabled automatic data sharing, all requests are automatically approved and DYNO tokens are

credited to their accounts.

When purchasers search for certain data points, they are presented with a number of anonymized

user profiles. Data buyers can then see how many DYNO tokens are necessary to access these

profiles. The amount to be paid is for the entire list of profile.

Upon purchase, the data becomes available in JSON or XML formats. Data Purchasers can also

create specific research groups and invite particular profiles to participate in their studies. If a

user accepts, he signs a smart contract, which will release tokens after each step of the study is

properly completed and reported.

Data Purchasers and Data Owners would interact on the DYNO Plaftorm in the following way:

1. Users link performance tracking devices to their profiles and record their physical performances.

Upon storage, data is encrypted and only the users can decide whether to share their data

with third-parties.

2. A purchaser has a need for data from a specific range of users (e.g. males between 20 and

30 years of age). Our search system retrieves all the encrypted profiles and suggests a price,

which is the sum of all the profiles within a set. The purchases pays for the data and user

accounts are credited with DYNO tokens.

3. All data is encrypted, replicated and stored in a distributed network which makes it impossible

to change or influence the quality of that data. This makes the whole marketplace fraud-proof

for buyers and extremely safe for data owners.

4. Users receive a proposal to participate in a research performed by a particular customer.

Upon accepting, they are obligated to perform a certain set of tasks. Each time they complete

each of the required steps, a certain amount of tokens is credited to their account. This entire

process is governed by smart contracts and with the help of oracles.

The DYNO network smart contract governs how data is accessed and by whom.

The DYNO smart contract record structure is as follows:

The DYNO App

The DYNOSTICS App is already counts more than 45.000 users. We expect an even faster

growth rate when we expand into the Chinese and American markets, by late 2018. This App

will be integrated with the DYNO Marketplace. Users will be able to exchange their pre-

Token Velocity

The DYNOSTISC / DYNO application is currently used by 60,000 users. Based on these numbers,

we can project the DYNO market cap velocity. If we assume that only 10% of users are going to be

participate in the DYNO marketplace daily by selling their performance data or by participating

in targeted research, this would amount to 6,000 daily users. In order to hire a user or purchase

data, clients have to purchase DYNO tokens and issue micro transactions to each of the user, so

tokens can then be exchanged to ETH.

Through these conversions to ETH, clients issue 6,000 daily transactions and on top of that we

can assume that 50% of users are going to convert their DYNO tokens to ETH immediately, thus

totaling in 9,000 DYNO transactions daily (6,000 purchase and 3,000 sell). Our velocity calcula-

tion also takes in account that each profile purchase has an average FIAT value of 20$ (based

on our experience and research with insurance companies and research institutes this is the

lowest number we can put in the equation based on what they normally pay for such sensitive

and valid data)

According to Burniske4, the equation of an exchange is MV = PQ ; where:

• M = size of the asset base

• V = velocity of the asset

• P = price of the digital resource being provisioned

• Q = quantity of the digital resource being provisioned

Total supply of DYNO tokens (M) is 1.000.000.000 and current ETH price is 690$. Thus, we calcu-

late velocity in the following way:

1 DYNO Token = 0.044$

A Velocity of 1.48 means that each DYNO token will be exchanged 1.48 times a year. According

to Burniske, the ideal velocity of a utility token should be between 2 and 5.

As DYNO adoption increases, we will implement three different velocity levers (staking, network

utility expansion and token burn) to keep DYNO’s velocity within the “Goldilocks” zone. Ensuring

that the velocity is maintained within this zone is important for the initial and long-term price

of DYNO. It is indicative of the health of the DYNO economy. A strong economy should, in turn,

sustainably increase DYNO’s price. By balancing these two methods, token burn and staking, we

will have greater control over the token’s velocity.

Token Burn

DYNO enables entities to buy data off of users for tokens. A certain percentage of the purchase

price, on each transaction, is taken as a fee. This transaction will partially be burned in a smart

contract and partially taken as revenue by DYNO. As the platform grows, the supply of DYNO

tokens in circulation is slowly reduced.

Staking

Staking of tokens is available on the Ethereum network through EIP9005 and allows us to reduce

the token’s velocity. DYNO staking will be available to clients who require large amounts of data,

and thus,, need to hold important amounts of DYNO tokens.

We are going to reward large token holders with greater search granularity. Finer granularity

allows buyers to benefit from more precise data extractions. Thanks to greater search granularity,

buyers have to spend less DYNO tokens for large batches of data.

DYNOSTICS® is a debt-free company that’s fully backed by its owners and has no external inves-

tors. The owners invested 4 Million US $ to develop the device and start the company.

The funds will be used to scale our blockchain project and boost the business development of

DYNOSTICS®. Since, the value of the marketplace is directly related to the popularity of the

DYNOSTICS® device, it is extremely important that we use the ICO funds to increase the core

business of the company.

The two major markets in which we want to develop our activity are the United States of America
