Presentation to the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce on the SWCLC and their role as advocate for local business members.TRANSCRIPT
The SWCLC was formed just over 8 years ago as a coalition of 3 local chambers of commerce – Murrieta, Temecula Valley, and Lake Elsinore. Along the way we added Wildomar and Menifee was a member for a short period. Our mission is to advocate on behalf of local business interests at a state level to support legislation that will encourage business growth or oppose bills that put additional burdens on California businesses.
The focus of the SWCLC 2013 Policy platform will be to support these primary initiatives:
Job Creation & Business Retention, Budget and Tax Reform, Healthcare Reform.
Under this we have a broad policy platform that covers transportation & infrastructure, tourism, healthcare and pro-business leadership. However, any policy or legislative initiative that may impact local members will be considered.
