It?

Many years ago Sir IsaacNewton had an exact replicaof our solar system made inminiature. At its center was

a large golden ballrepresenting the sun, andrevolving around it weresmaller spheres attached atthe ends of rods of varyinglengths. They representedMercury, Venus, Earth,Mars and the other planets.These were all gearedtogether by cogs and belts tomake them move aroundthe sun in perfectharmony.

One day as Newton was studyingthe model, a friend stopped by for avisit. Marveling at the device andwatching as the scientist made theheavenly bodies move in their orbits,the man exclaimed, My, Newton,what an exquisite thing! Who madeit foryou?

Without looking up, Sir Isaacreplied, Nobody.

Nobody? his friendasked.Thats right! I said nobody! All of

these cogs and belts and gears justhappened to come together, andwonder of wonders, by chance they

began revolving in their set orbitsand with perfect timing.

So how did the universe and all that isin it come into existence? Did someinexplicable event set off the process orwas it the work of an intelligentdesigner?

Materialistic science proposes twomajor theories for our origins. First thebig bang theory to explain how theuniverse came into existence, and thenevolution for how life began.

Because neither of these theories

nor the belief in the Creation beingwrought by God can be observed orrepeated under observableexperimental conditions, they are allbelief systems that remain within therealm of faith. It comes down to whatand whomyou choose to believe.

However, more and more evidenceis being uncovered that indicates theuniverse and all that is in it was thework of an intelligent designer, notchance. The truth is that the theories ofthe big bang and evolution are not asfactual and convincing as theirproponents pretend.

At the core of Evolutionary theory isthe assumption that life somehowarose from non-life by pureblind chance.That there simply

`happened to be theright chemicals in theright place, in the rightarrangement, it was justthe right time andconditions, and thensuddenly!Presto! Some

unknown electro-chemicalprocess took placeand life created itself!But as PrincetownUniversity Professor ofBiology, Edwin Conklin,

said, The probabilityof life originating fromaccident is comparableto the probability of adictionary resulting froman explosion in a printing shop.

We have never heard yet that any dog ever becamea cat or a cat a dog! There are all kinds of dogs and allkinds of cats, but there are no dog-cats or cat-dogs!

These facts even disturbed Darwin, who questioned:

Why, if species have descended from the other speciesby fine gradation, do we not everywhere see innumerabletransitional forms? Why is not all nature in confusion,instead of the species being as we see them, welldefined?

Evolution claims that all

of Creation is constantlyevolving into morecomplex forms. Thisassumption, however, isdirectly contrary to auniversally accepted,proven law of physicsknown as the SecondLaw of Thermodynamicswhich states: Allprocesses (left tothemselves) go toward agreater state of disorder,

disorganization,disarrangement and lesscomplexity.

InNatural Theology, Britishtheologian and philosopherWilliam Paley (1743-1805)likened the origin of the universeto that of a watch: When wecome to inspect the watch, weperceive that its several parts areframed and put together for apurpose. The inference we think isinevitable, that the watch musthave had a maker. The universe

must have had a designer. Thatdesigner must have been aperson. That person is God.

In other words, the existence of aninvisible Creator is manifest ormade evident by the wonderful

world which He has created, Hiscreation, the things which we cansee.The greatest credentials ofthe Creator are the marvelousthings He has made!
