WHO SHOULD ATTEND?Healthcare professionals of all disciplines and others with an interest in childhood malignant disease, its treatment and outcomes.

SYMPOSIUM OBJECTIVESThe program consists of a combination of plenary, panel and workshop session that will facilitate delegates:

1. Learning the application of recent advances in chemotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy for brain tumors

2. Identifying genetic predispositions to brain tumors and utilizing available resources

3. Improving palliative care for patients with brain tumors

4. Identifying and addressing the needs of brain tumor patient in rehabilitation

ACCREDITATIONThis event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, approved by University of Toronto (13 credits). The Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto designates this education activity for a maximum of 13 category 1 credits toward the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity. As a result of a reciprocal agreement between the EACCME and the AMA, European registrants may claim AMA PRO Category 1 as equivalent.
