who would be the audience for my magazine

Who would be the audience for my magazine? As most music magazines are aimed at the male gender I wanted my magazine to be different and there for my audience is the female gender . I have used colours such as pink and purples as these colours are well known as feminim colours. I also use a boy band to attract the female eye as women would be more attracted to men on the front cover then women. My magazine would also be for the younger generation, around 16-30 as although there is a variety of different genre music I believe all the music is still for the younger generation. My double page spread is about a new upcoming rock star that has a lot of attitude; I don’t believe the elderly would be very amused with her comments. How did you attract/address your audience? I believe that the colour scheme uses, pinks and purples attracted my audience, the female gender. With these colours the female audience would know that it is not for men and more targeted at them so it would attract them to my magazine. The magazine was cheap this would address my target audience as they are the younger generation starting at 16 so if my magazine was expensive they may feel that they cannot afford it. By making it only £2 any generation would be able to afford it. Having a boy band central on the front page would attract my audience as they would be mostly female so they would be attracted to the opposite sex and want to have a look at my magazine. My double page spread is about a young female becoming a rock star, she has a lot of attitude. Although my audience would not be able to relate to becoming a rock star they may be able to relate on her attitude and how she feels at that age, it would give my younger audience belief that they can do whatever they want when they put their minds to it.

Page 1: Who would be the audience for my magazine

Who would be the audience for my magazine?

As most music magazines are aimed at the male gender I wanted my magazine to be different and

there for my audience is the female gender . I have used colours such as pink and purples as these

colours are well known as feminim colours. I also use a boy band to attract the female eye as women

would be more attracted to men on the front cover then women.

My magazine would also be for the younger generation, around 16-30 as although there is a variety

of different genre music I believe all the music is still for the younger generation. My double page

spread is about a new upcoming rock star that has a lot of attitude; I don’t believe the elderly would

be very amused with her comments.

How did you attract/address your audience?

I believe that the colour scheme uses, pinks and purples attracted my audience, the female gender.

With these colours the female audience would know that it is not for men and more targeted at

them so it would attract them to my magazine.

The magazine was cheap this would address my target audience as they are the younger generation

starting at 16 so if my magazine was expensive they may feel that they cannot afford it. By making it

only £2 any generation would be able to afford it.

Having a boy band central on the front page would attract my audience as they would be mostly

female so they would be attracted to the opposite sex and want to have a look at my magazine.

My double page spread is about a young female becoming a rock star, she has a lot of attitude.

Although my audience would not be able to relate to becoming a rock star they may be able to

relate on her attitude and how she feels at that age, it would give my younger audience belief that

they can do whatever they want when they put their minds to it.
