Who would be the audience for your media product?

To decide my target audience, I looked at similar films and the target audience that they may have aimed for. After deciding the age group that I was making my film opening suitable for, I narrowed it down restricting younger people, and then looking at particular social groups.

My Target Audience

My target audience, will not be a specific narrow group. Like the pictures of my choice saw, there is a variety of people, although mostly girls, it is acceptable for boys to watch too as the age group will be the same. And it would grab their attention from the beginning being the same social group or age group of the main character.

What kinds of taste might they have?

Their taste would be that of a normal teenager, of just about; any social group of the younger generation. My target audience will have a liking for all types of thrillers particularly Psychological, and have enjoyed memento, as it is of a similar genre.

Why they would watch my film....My film is a psychological thriller, which centres a young teenage girl as the protagonist, and the hero, which gives this film the individuality, as it is not a typical thriller movie with the main character as a male. I have, to offer a unique storyline which will focus on the life of a teen girl instead of a an older woman, this allows us to have a wider target audience and widening the audience.
