WP: Please give a brief share about your very beginning, and what it was like being you as a young man.JR: I grew up in Flint, Michigan. A cultural melting pot before many such cities existed, owed to the presence of General Motors. It drew people from all over, from the south and from other countries, so I had the good fortune to grow up with many ethnicities: Af-rican American, Hispanic, Asian etc. and to form strong bonds with them early in my life.

WP: So, you didn’t create a barrier between you and those different than you?JR: No. In the world that I was living in at that time, I don’t think that could have hap-pened. It was the late 60’s early 70’s and we all shared many of the same incomes, values and visions for life, so we stood side by side to-gether when we were protesting the war. We read the same books: Alan Watts, the Tao Te Ching, and the Tibetan Book of the Dead. We got high together and so it just broke down all of the barriers that may have existed for other folks.

WP: Am I hearing that you were very liberal and open minded?JR: Well, the interesting thing is that I lived a dual life for a period because I grew up under the influence of my parents who were very re-ligious and conservative. To highlight this very strange period, I received an invitation from the White House to attend the inaugura-tion of President Nixon after being involved in his campaign because of my parents. But at the same time I was getting high, playing in a rock band and pursuing a spiritual path.

WP: And, how old were you then?JR: I did that whole trip from age 11 to 17. I had a kind of, what some people might refer to as, an experience of awakening at age 11. I started meditating with Maharishi. That internal and external experience catalyzed a very strong pull to the progressive and spir-itual side.

WP: How did your parents deal with the changes you were experiencing?JR: Fine. There wasn’t really much for them to do other than to say, and they were actu-ally very good about it. They put my happi-ness at the forefront of their concerns so if I was happy and not getting into trouble, then they were happy.

WP: Was the environment you grew up in a very middle class environment?JR: Yes. My father was an engineer for Gen-eral Motors and my mother was a home-maker. We were pretty typical of a Midwest-ern family at that time. If you know the television series, “The Wonder Years”, that was my experience growing up.

WP: You had a very interesting world going on for yourself.JR: I did. I was playing in a local rock band and it got quite popular. We were an open-ing act for national bands like the MC 5, Ziggy and the Stooges, Bob Seeger, Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper. I was considered somewhat of a prodigy on guitar because I had parked myself up in my room for a cou-ple of years learning to play. It was virtually my only focus.

WP: Do you think the relationship you cul-tivated with your guitar was a primary catalyst in some way for your connection or deepening your spiritual connection?JR: You hit the nail right on the head with that. It was when I was in my cave and so focused on the instrument that this experi-ence of transcendence occurred. It was a dropping away of all boundaries and a merg-ing with the guitar, if you will. Based on my experience today, how I understand it is that it was basically consciousness referencing consciousness. I’m a seeker and as my ap-petite as a seeker grew I started reading some of the spiritual books of that time. So at the age of 17, when the TM teacher ar-rived in Flint, I began practicing. My expe-rience of initiation was dramatic. After be-ing initiated I literally stopped doing drugs and drinking. I wanted to pursue God. I ended up going to Europe, studying with Maharishi and became a teacher of tran-scendental meditation in 1976. I have since taught a few thousand people.

WP: As you look back on this catalyst, this connection to the guitar and the music, what were the more exacting moments that you would describe as stepping over the threshold to the more authentic you? I’d like to think that there is this moment for all of us, where we recognize some-thing enormously profound within our-selves and I guess my question is, when did that moment occur for you?JR: I would say that it was probably when I formally started practicing meditation. It was akin to a rebirth, a second life. It com-pletely reset or recast my life.

� WP: So you became involved with TM and became a teacher, life moved along and then where were you positioning or point-ing yourself in terms of what you were looking to do? JR: At that point, the only plan I had was spiritual awakening, but this time there was a call in the business side of things and I felt this pull to come to Los Angeles. One day a friend of mine and I packed up our cars and caravanned out here. I lived out of the back of my car. The one person that I knew here gave me a room and it just so happened that she worked for the magician Doug Henning so I got my first job in LA. At the same time I tapped into the large community of people practicing TM that I found here, as a re-source base. One day I went to a production meeting for a children’s TV show and it happened that actor Ned Beatty was there. After the meeting he and I were talking and he asked me what I was doing… to which I answered, “Nothing.” He said, “Meet me at the Beverly Hillcrest Hotel tomorrow and I’ll buy you lunch.” At the end of that lun-cheon he offered me a job as his assistant, errand boy. I wanted into get into manage-ment.

WP: And being a manager is handling the business details for the actor.JR: Yes and more. It’s a very comprehensive role, handling all facets of growing and de-veloping their career. Eventually Ned was getting married, so my job for him ended. He asked me what I’d like to do and then picked up the phone and called Dolores Robinson, a prominent manager here in LA and asked her to hire me. Eventually, I po-litely left Dolores Robinson Management to form my own management company. I went more into the music. I ended up managing a lot of baby acts but also Billy Preston, Al Stewart, A Taste of Honey and several other acts that I had on Capital Records.

WP: It was an incredibly courageous move, journeying to Los Angeles, making the shift from Flint, Michigan to Southern California.JR: On one hand it was scary because it was unknown, but on the other hand it was ex-citing because it was an unknown. It brought both sides of the coin, so you drink from both sides, and one heals the other.

WP: While connecting with TM and going on these meditation retreats and so forth, how were you able to sustain yourself financially?JR: I had money from the band so I had

some savings and I was able to use that to go on meditation courses and what have you. But after I became a teacher, of course, I earned enough to live the lifestyle I wanted at that point in time.

WP: So you re-associated yourself with the music industry at some level. Where did life take you from there?JR: I am one of those people that periodi-cally needs a new challenge. I ended up be-coming the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Ayurvedic Clinic working with Deepak Chopra and the national and inter-national Maharishi Ayurvedic Medical Cen-ter teams. I taught there as well. After that, I was working with Billy Preston. At one point while in New York negotiating a deal for Billy Preston’s record label I had some free time on my hands and never having been to the NY stock exchange, I went there. I was blown away by the energy in that place and I said, “ I’ve gotta do this”. I studied and I took the Series 7 Exam and passed it. In ‘87 the market crashed. It was a very intense experience and I didn’t approve of how the industry handled the market crash. I decided I was either going to leave or I was going to find something within that industry that would allow me once again to reconnect with my spiritual values. I did manage to find this connection in socially responsible investing.

WP: Did connecting with the financial world by means of the stock market conflict with your spiritual or other values at the time?JR: It did conflict and as a matter of fact I would refer to that period as a certain kind of spiritual amnesia. Yes, and that ended be-cause a gentleman I had met in my earlier career as a personal manager, was a vice president of A&R over at Capitol Records. He called me and said, “Let’s start a man-agement company together.” We did. Mar-keting and PR had awakened within me and since I am one of those people with an in-tense curiosity, I left the management com-pany and went to the PR firm. I thought, “This is it; this is what I really enjoy.”

WP: That curiosity is one of your more salient gifts.JR: One day, I encircled myself with maybe six 4-drawer cabinets of article files contain-ing articles with things that interested me, and I started categorizing them. I watched certain piles grow and certain piles dimin-

ish, and as I finished I realized that things like marketing/advertising, PR, public speaking, publicity and promotions and ev-erything related to that, was the largest pile. And then the spiritual pile. I made a decision to go to my strengths. I want to learn and get paid. What do I want to learn about? Well, I want to learn more about life and spirituality and I really love the creative arts and this and that. Those are the people who I want to have as clients. And what do they all have in common? Well they are all transformation-ally or spiritually oriented. I asked myself, so what do they all have in common? Well, they all have a vision. I want to help people build their vision and the name I came up with, was “The Visioneering Group.” That was al-most 25 years ago. We’ve represented hun-dreds of clients and never veered from that vision or mission once.

WP: Is that company still here today, that’s the umbrella company?JR: That is the “Visioneering Group”. It’s still here and we’ve been fortunate to work with everybody from Madonna to Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Peter Russell, Daniel Quinn and Kenny Loggins: and with films, “What the Bleep do We Know”, “Baraka”, “I Am”, “The 11th Hour”, “Peaceful War-rior”… just amazing clients over the years.

WP: What a beautiful connection you made with all those people. Seems your story is an experience of the coalescence of the intensity in you, the fire in you to go out and create more.JR: Yes exactly. It was while Visioneering was developing and growing. I can actually trace the seeds of Gate to 1967 when I was on teacher training with Maharishi in France. As I listened to his words I almost tran-scribed them verbatim and really took that inside. It was one of those pivotal moments. That was probably the seed. It was the be-ginning of Gate. And then in 1990, when Visioneering had already been born, I was promoting a movie called ‘Mindwalk’, based on the works of physicist Fritjof Capra, the author of ‘The Tao of Physics.’ I was doing a screening of that film and I began noticing that people were responding in a very excited way. I realized I started conceiving of theater as a temple, as a place of spiritual awakening and I realized the power of a film. I coined the phrase “transformational film”. That was another pivotal moment. Then in 2004 ‘What the Bleep Do We Know’ opened this Gateway in a major way.

WP: I want to interrupt you for a sec, be-

cause it’s kind of interesting in terms of the trajectory, if you will, of perhaps be-ing the beginning of the whole movement of conscious film. I mean there have, of course, been other films, so I think “What the Bleep” was really a major film.JR: It was a catalyst. What the Bleep was quite a large success,and of course it played worldwide and earned millions. Many peo-ple thought there’s no audience for this type of film, but they weren’t aware of the cul-tural creatives and their desire for entertain-ment and media content that uplifts, in-forms, inspires and connects. Global Alliance for Transformational Entertain-ment spontaneously emerged, and I realized its acronym was GATE. I allowed it to ger-minate.

WP: This was back in 2007, 8 or 9?JR: Around 2004, I went to Eckhart and I said “Here’s the idea that I have” and what do you think and he said… “ Do it”. I asked him to deliver a key note address if I put an event together and he said yes. Then I went to Jim Carey, whom I had met in 2006 at a screening we did of Peaceful Warrior, and since he and I had become friends I asked him if he would co-host the event with me and he said yes, so I knew with both Eck-hart and Jim, we had a show. The inaugural event was June 4th 2009, termed GATE 1. And CAA offered us their screening room auditorium, which seats about 200. I turned it down thinking there are many more, they’re just in the closet, in the transformational closet. We ended up getting the Zanuck theatre over at the Fox lot and I thought, you know having this event with Eckhart and Jim in the Fox Lot is a good package. We filled every seat.

WP: And the people who attended back then, were they very receptive to people like Eckhart?JR: Supremely, yeah, the audience was a mixture of celebrities like Billy Zane, Jack-son Brown, Virginia Madsen and other people of the wisdom culture, wisdom thought leaders. I had speakers like Scott Carlton who was then president of HBO domestic television distribution, Producer/Director Sandra Hay was there representing Carlos Santana, architects of the New Dawn, Donna Evan performed, Melissa Etheridge performed, Jim spoke, Eckhart spoke, I spoke, we had a nice line up. The 500 people who gathered were quite blown away by the whole event.

ingness. The implied main question the film raised in my mind is: “How powerful are our minds exactly? How much of my/our world is within my/our control?” An-other episode of the film that spurred these and like inquiries in me is director/produc-er Hauck’s experiment to use group telepa-thy to produce rain in the Sahara Desert at a specific time. The results are fascinating.

Those who are looking for story, conflict, peril, or a traditional protagonist will be dis-appointed by this film. Those who are ear-nestly seeking alternative views on healing the globe, mainly through personal inner work, will be enthralled by this feature length offering.

I had a chance to talk with German director Oliver Hauck before and after the U.S. Pre-miere of the film in Beverly Hills, and he had the glow in his eyes of one who has found the work which he was born to do on this Earth. He spoke of how his mission to make this project attracted all of the right people at the right time. I couldn’t help but think about people, some of whom might be reading this article, and how they might want to help heal the globe by creating something, but might be confused as to what they can do, or are simply caught up in the day to day of life: working, paying bills, running errands, surfing the web, exercis-ing, sleeping and then doing it all again the next day. They don’t perceive that they have time to go out into nature and say prayers in a big circle. So what can this busy city dwell-er do to help out? At the film’s finale, David Miller says, “Everyone on the Earth has seen those beautiful pictures that the astro-nauts took from the moon... When we [first saw] those images we [began to call] the Earth the Blue Jewel…” He encourages us to meditate for a few minutes each day on the beauty, harmony, and balance which make up our world. This simple method can help to heal the globe. Surely we all have some time in our days for that.

t its most essential core, Oliver Hauck’s new feature film, The Blue Jewel: A Documentary about

Planetary Healers, can be described as a love poem to humans from the Earth her-self. Its profiled mystical healers are leaders in a truly growing worldwide movement of planetary healing, and the movie, from Starseeds Productions, is one of a growing number whose mission is to heal the Earth. And it is an important mission, as director Hauck says, “…there is no Earth number two, there is no Earth number three, there is only one Earth for all of us.”

The film, which is episodic in nature, blends breathtaking aerial photography with inter-views of healers and teachers who discuss their diverse methods for healing the planet and its inhabitants. Much of the film is ac-companied by inspiring music by “Beyond” (a group which includes Tina Turner), and amazing 3-D computer graphics of the Universe, beautifully created by editor Tom Schumacher.

One key teacher in the film is the channeled voice of Gaia herself, speaking in soothing tones to us through the medium of the love-ly Pepper Lewis. Gaia gives us humans the impetus to take the reigns of the further evolution of the Earth, comparing humans to the transistors in an old radio set: without them, none of the other technology works.

Another teacher, Gudrun Miller, talks about inter-human relations as the key to planetary healing saying, “Forgiveness…unburdens you, the forgiver.” She and her husband, David, and are creating “Groups of 40”— people in cities around the globe who use mental visioning to protect the consciousness of their metropolitan area.

Ignaz and Johanna Leitner. They speak of how their cows kept getting sick until they found harmony in their community rela-tionships. Johanna also speaks eloquently of her desire for everyone to truly experience a rose blooming, and through experiencing a rose, we can become blooms ourselves.

Some of the other wise sages sharing in-clude Dr. Roger Nelson, a psychologist who works with group consciousness affecting random number generators, as well as a Hopi Native American Ruben Saufkie, Sr. who teaches gratitude for Mother Earth.

The Blue Jewel can also be characterized as a meditation with nuggets of wisdom for us to digest, well spaced out with time for get-ting in touch with one’s breathing and be-

WP: Sounds like it was an amazing event.JR: Yeah.

WP: I mean just stringing it all together, it’s like bringing two different worlds together. The whole entertainment business, I may be not very accurate in the description but I see the movie, the film and the music business as having a high propensity for money. Maybe that’s a misguided look.JR: Here’s what I think about that. I think you can find that element in any sector. Some may be a bit more extreme than others, but I think it’s pretty much everywhere.

WP: Well I think it is, I mean, there is no question , but I think there are certainly environments or arenas that draw that in. There’s an energy there that you connect with and that’s why you’re there. So in that respect the stock brokerage, the whole commodities business and all of that, is the same thing. It’s a way of sus-taining that feeling within you. JR: That’s probably true and it certainly has its effects, but it also seems to be the way of our human nature and I think being on the spiritual path is a way to overcome the defi-cits of our spiritual nature. So I think it’s when we begin incorporating spiritual ideas and practices, that we begin to work more intimately with our nature and perhaps we learn to manage it in a different way than we did at other times in our lives.

WP: Well, yeah I think that’s absolutely true and it’s well said. It’s a way of elevat-ing our consciousness and our aware-ness and in that process it’s becoming more connected, more in tuned in a way with what I would describe as the divinity in us, which adheres to a different set of rules. JR: Yes, if it adheres to any rules at all.

WP: Very good. So then GATE came out in 2009?JR: Yeah, I kind of count June 4th 2009 as our inaugural event, and since that time, it’s really been spent honing the positioning of GATE, the messaging of GATE, deciding on its infrastructure, attracting others to support the vision as volunteers, doing ev-erything you have to do to build an organi-zation. And that is the phase we find our-selves in now.And we have a film series called, The Gate

Theater Within Series, we have a lecture se-ries, we have a core course that we call Trans-formational Story 101, that we are beginning to offer 4 times a year. It will be a Transfor-mational Story Intensive which is like a week long program led by Dara Marks. We have a program called Creativity, Imagination and Storytelling, we have our GATE 3, which will be 4, 5 6 etc. events, we have the GATE Transformational Story Conference and we have how the cultural creatives will impact your bottom line in this decade. Our mis-sion is three fold: education, connection and collaboration, and advocacy. We want to speak of it in terms of the economy so people understand that this content is monetizable, and there is a huge audience for it

WP: And the timing is so perfect that I find it fascinating in the respect that it’s like having a knowing of the masses, if you will, stepping more into the space, sens-ing and experiencing their thirst to be more awakened and satiated.JR: Thank you so much.

WP: My closing question, when did John, become a Whole Person?JR: I can’t honestly say I am a whole person. I know that on one level I am whole as ev-eryone is, it’s at that level of consciousness that interconnects all of us, and I do refer-ence that state more and more, but I can’t say that I’m fully established in it. But I do find myself being more and more fully es-tablished in it and referencing it on a daily basis. There is within me this infinite un-bounded field of consciousness that does seep into my day to day experience as pres-ence and when it does, the mind is still, the mind is at peace, the body is still and at peace. It seems as though this process never ends, I think it’s an infinite process and it just keeps getting deeper. I think it remains primarily an internal experience that in-forms our outer experience.

WP: Well very nicely said. It’s an infinite experience isn’t it? It goes on forever. We can continue our process of being en-riched and expanding as we will. You’ve had a dynamic journey. What’s the Big Deal? While Arm-strong is not the first athlete to cheat (Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, Mari-on Jones, and others spring to mind), what is shocking is that such “cheat-ing” came to light, as doping was widespread during this time and Armstrong’s influence in the sport of cycling was extreme. Any individual who hinted at disclosing the fraud, had his or her career and reputation systematically destroyed:

Unfortunately for Armstrong, 12 days later, the report was accepted by the sport’s governing body, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). Armstrong was officially stripped of his 7 Tour de France titles and banned for life. The UCI President stated, “Lance Armstrong has no place in cycling.”

Major sponsors of Armstrong: Nike, Anheuser-Busch, Trek Bicycles, Oak-ley and others dropped him within days. Shortly after the UCI decision, Armstrong stepped down from his role as chairman of Livestrong, his

ne example of this was brought to further light last month by Oprah in her “no-holds-barred” interview with the disgraced cycling hero Lance Armstrong. Whether Lance Arm-strong used performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) during the period in which he posted a record 7 consecu-tive Tour de France wins was the hidden to be revealed. On October 10th 2012, the US Anti-Doping Agency submitted their “Reasoned Decision” on this. They concluded it was “the most sophisticated, profes-sionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.”

The 1,000 page document (including exhibits) provided overwhelming ev-idence that Armstrong and his teams used steroids, testosterone, human growth hormone, the blood booster EPO and blood transfusions. The report included statements from 26 witnesses, email exchanges, videos and financial records to document the fraud. Prior to the

about the doping culture that pervad-ed the sport, and were not eager to have their own indiscretions come out. Fans were shocked and disap-pointed. Some sponsors withdrew from the sport.

Newer, more advanced drug tests have come into the sport, making is more difficult to cheat. Cycling proponents are calling it a new be-ginning. Young riders will no lon-ger be forced to dope to compete. In Oprah’s interview, Armstrong admitted to using performance en-hancing drugs and making extraor-dinary efforts to hide the truth. A new world is emerging.

While the details of a doping story in the sport of cycling may seem ir-relevant to your life, the fact is that everything is related. This drama is a microcosm of our society as a whole, pointing toward “All that is hidden will be revealed.” That time is now. As you look at the corrup-tion and decay of existing political, financial, educational, religious and commercial institutions, have faith that those with self-serving agen-das, carried out at the expense of others, will soon be revealed.

It may be a small impetus for change that opens the f loodgates and lets the truth emerge – a tiny catalyst that sparks a massive awakening and leads to the upliftment of our entire society. Perhaps YOU will be that catalyst.

* Cyclists from other teams who dared to speak out against doping were bullied by Armstrong during races (captured on video) and forced out of the sport.

* Wives of ex-teammates were sent threatening text messages by Armstrong directly.

* Ex-cycling legend Greg LeM-ond, the first American to win the Tour de France, had his own contract terminated by Trek Bicycles, an Arm-strong sponsor, after questioning some of Armstrong’s results.

* Journalists who asked embarrass-ing questions were ostracized by their fellow journalists, who feared Arm-strong’s wrath if they sided with the “trolls.”

The entire cycling community lived in abject fear of Armstrong’s power, which transcended the sport. Sena-tor John Kerry, an avid cyclist, felt his wrath. According to respected journalist Selena Roberts, Arm-strong tried to use his clout to get 2008 Presidential candidate Obama to come to his Livestrong fundrais-er. When a prior Obama engagement conflicted, Armstrong emailed Ker-ry, “If cancer isn’t an issue of con-cern for the Democratic Party, then we will go into the database of Livestrong, which has millions of people, and let them know where the Democratic Party stands.”

Hope for the truth to ever emerge about Lance Armstrong’s doping seemed slim. But Armstrong’s hubris and utter disregard for a fellow team-mate who initially kept his mouth shut, vis-à-vis his own doping, led to his downfall.

Floyd Landis was initially credited with winning the 2006 Tour de France, until he tested positive for testosterone. He denied it, but was found guilty. He served his suspen-sion and after two years looked for a team to join. Landis had helped Arm-strong win 3 Tours de France. Even the mafia rewards its henchmen who “keep their mouths shut”, but Arm-strong did not help Landis.

With no career options, no money and a ruined reputation, Landis hit rock bottom. So he lashed out and wrote a detailed email to the head of USA Cycling, which he made public and filed a federal whistle-blower law-suit against Armstrong’s US Postal cycling team. Landis was angry that while Armstrong was flying in his own private jet, he was forced to ride substandard bikes. Among his allega-tions was that the team was selling its top of the line bicycles to finance their drug purchases.

A federal investigation headed by Jeff Novitzky ensued into the misuse of public funds by Armstrong’s US Post-al cycling team. There was a light on the horizon, but then came another setback. The 21 month federal inves-tigation was abruptly terminated. No-vitzky was not told of this termina-tion until 15 minutes before it was announced by his boss, on a Friday night before the Super Bowl.

It looked like the truth would never see the light of day. But the USADA was not required to prove a federal crime had been committed. They compiled their own overwhelming evidence of doping and the truth was eventually revealed. Reactions were mixed. Older riders knew the truth

pondering the deep meaning of every word, with intention, emotion and faith, they have the ability to open the ener-getic channels. In my modest under-standing, prayer is the conscious and deliberate creation of an energetic event on the vertical. The purpose of prayer is to personally, directly, and vertically connect with the Universe/God. It is a visit with God, which necessitates time to allow for the connection to unfold, and cannot be rushed.

Here are a few useful techniques to ap-ply when praying while remembering that intention, emotion and faith move energy:

InvocATIon:

Call the beings of the highest intention and purity, those that you most resonate with to be present with you and help you in the process of your prayer. You have friends in high places, and you don’t want “just anybody” showing up randomly.

InTEnTIon:

State that the intention of the prayer is to connect with God/Universe.

EmoTIon:

Experience a strong, intense feeling, a sincere, heartfelt desire to connect with God/Universe.

FAITH:

Trust that this connection will happen, even if you do not know from a causal point of view, the exact mechanism by which it will happen.

observed that patients who were in-formed that people would pray for them did the worst and had more complica-tions. Were they scared into thinking that their condition was more severe than it actually was, since random people had been recruited to pray for them?

To clarify, we must ask: who prayed, how did they pray, what did they say, for how long did they pray, did they know how to produce an energetic event through prayer, and what is prayer? Prayer is very misunderstood. We are taught that others know how to pray on our behalf. In truth we all have a direct, personal connection with the Divine.

All major religions are energy-based. Prayers, mantras, or chants are designed so that when they are said mindfully,

rayer is not an act of worship merely, the bending of the knee on set occasions, and offering petitions in need. It is an attitude of soul, open-ing the life on the Godward side, and keeping free communication with the world of spirit.”- Hugh Black

Clairvoyant observation of an individu-al’s crown chakra reveals the extent to which they connect energetically with Universe/God, the quality of that con-nection, the way they understand it, and how they feel about it.

Numerous scientific studies of prayer have been conducted in the USA. Some were funded by the National Institute of Health. Most of these studies investi-gated the role and effects of prayer on the distance healing process in humans. The majority of these studies indicate that prayer works. People who were prayed for – without their knowledge – healed faster, stayed fewer days in the hospital, required less medication and had fewer complications. Conversely, some studies indicated that prayer does not work, and in some cases may be det-rimental to the prayer recipients.

In some of the successful cases, the people who prayed were practitioners of various religious traditions who were trained in prayer, meditation, or direct-ing healing energy from a distance. These were people who knew how to deliberately create an energetic event through prayer. In the unsuccessful cas-es, lists of patient names were distrib-uted to random prayer groups at church-es throughout the country. It was

You can recite prayers or intone chants according to your faith or that of a tra-dition that you resonate most with. Be-ing in the moment and pondering the deep meaning of every word is key. When someone asks for help, one sees life force in the form of golden light coming from the universe entering their crown chakra and their body. The problem is that most times, prayers are said like an au-tomatic recitation, so no energetic event is accomplished.

Asking for help is under-utilized. In this 3-dimensional reality, we have been given the freedom to choose between receiving help and not receiving help. Prayer need not be reserved for emer-gencies. One can – and ideally does – request clarity, insight, and assistance with day-to-day living.

Prayer requires us to embrace a mys-tical paradox. Even as we ask, we must also surrender to God (not like a prisoner or slave – but as the lover yields to the Beloved) trusting that God knows our highest good. And rather than fretting over the how our desired results come about, better we accept, “There is no order of difficul-ty in miracles.” Otherwise we may in-advertently overlook the answer to our prayers, simply because they showed up in unexpected packaging.

When we pray, we often present God a list of things we want or outcomes we desire. What if it’s not for the highest good? Unanswered prayers can be bless-ings in disguise. Humans enjoy a larger perspective in retrospect, reviewing events of years past and finally under-standing things differently. Later de-

claring, “thank God I didn’t get that job” or “thank God I didn’t marry that person”. Sometimes spiritual progress comes through crisis, which presents opportunity for transformation and dismantling the ego. This is a blessing that may not be immediately apparent and challenges us to accept that God ultimately holds the larger perspective. By praying “whatever is for my highest good and the highest good of all con-cerned, let it be done” we intentionally align our will with God’s will.

Praying in supplication, labeling our-selves as weak, unworthy, or sinners, is not effective, despite what we may have been taught. When we pray for something, we need to become what we are praying for in that moment. Na-tive American medicine men were ob-served invoking rain. In the sacred cir-cle, with eyes closed, heads and hands held skyward, they were silent. Scien-tists asked what happened in that mo-ment. Were they calling for rain? They explained, “We never pray for rain, we pray rain.” They visualized them-selves already powerfully drenched with rainwater, the fields moist, the crops growing, acknowledging, “It is done, Thank You!” By the same token, when we pray for good health, without doubt, analysis, or hesitation, we must powerfully visualize and feel ourselves completely healthy: physically strong, mentally clear, emotionally even-keeled, harmonious in our relations, effective in our daily tasks, with a com-fortable feeling of belonging and con-nection with God/Universe and all of Creation. Visualize Golden Light (chi, prana, Life Force) coursing into the crown chakra like a river, completely filling and illuminating the whole body to awaken, heal, optimize and repro-gram us for a new life.

The Third Eye and Spiritual Evolution…

Clairvoyance… Everyone is Clairvoyant to greater or lesser degrees.

Clairvoyance is a French word when trans-

lated means “clear sight”. Clairvoyance can

be a double edged sword. On one hand it

can clearly guide one to greater aspects of

self and assist in the journey. It can also be a

harmful tool if not used with discernment.

If a clairvoyant is always looking for “what

is wrong” that person will begin to vibrate

with just that… what is wrong; thus create

that which is not wanted. This is the poten-

tial sickness of the clairvoyant. It is impor-

tant for the responsible clairvoyant to intend

that they see that which is in the highest light

for all concerned. Not all information is

helpful. An additional discerning tip is to

ask “is this information helpful and assisting

in the evolution of the Self towards Enlight-

enment?”

The Mistaken Identity of Self Love: First, let us dispel some myths about what it means to love yourself. Self-love is not about being vain, arrogant or egotistical. It is not about comparing yourself to others or competing to de-termine if you are good enough, or measure up to society’s standards that have been put upon you. Self-love is the allowance and acceptance of your Self in totality. The discovery of who you are within, acknowledging your inner truths, self-worthiness and your ulti-mate connection to Source.

Will the Real Self Love Please Stand Up? To love yourself is to be in awe of the miracle of your existence. It is to ac-cept yourself as you are—the “light” parts and the “dark”, the “good” and

To love yourself is not just a self-esteem boosting piece of advice. It is the prerequisite to truly loving others. The Golden Rule tells us to “love your neighbor as you love yourself”. Look a little closer though, and you will find that at its very center is the command to love yourself.

Others? Take a moment to think of those things you most need to hear from others. Whether it be that they love you, admire you, accept you just as you are, appreciate you, forgive you or anything else. Take a moment to write down what you wish most to hear from others. Exhaust your list. You will dis-cover that what you most want to hear from others is what you most need to affirm for yourself of as your positive attributes. You should now have a list of positive affirmations tailor made for you. Repeat them every day, morning and night, and include them in what are called creative visualizations. Visualize in great detail, these positive attributes as you again and again with all of the senses i.e.: what do you see? what do you feel? what do you hear? what does it smell like? And soon you will enjoy a sense of self, love and inner peace which will be more vivid and stronger than you ever before imagined.

You Can Only Give That Which You Have: It is an obvious statement that you cannot give something that you do not possess, yet so many people desperately love others without having or giving love to themselves. It is little wonder that in time their reserves of love are ex-hausted and their relationships falter. To give love, you must first have love. To have love, love yourself. Only then will you be able to truly love others for the pure joy of loving them. Give the love you wish to experience to yourself and you will find all your relationships trans-forming in miraculous ways.

There is a Single Source of All Love: There is a single, intelligent Conscious-ness that pervades the entire Universe—all knowing, all powerful, all loving, all creative and present everywhere at the same time. Through all of history this Single Consciousness has been revered by many names: God, the All, Brahman, the Universal Mind, to name but a few. It is

ust into our new year, the momentum to set new goals for the remaining of the 365 days this year is surely still in the air. It’s exciting. Most often within those goals is to change our nutrition. But once we start making that list of what we should give up either from our diet or everyday activities, we lose that enthusiasm. Usually we are giving up foods we have eaten and a way of life we have been living for years. And then the dreaded remem-brance, “ Wasn’t that my New Year’s resolution last year too, or two years ago?”

Not much success. But with a

new way to meet your goals, by

adding in instead of giving up,

there is no stopping you. Just

imagine, instead of giving up

that bagel, add in a green drink

in more and more time to meditate

because now clarity has set in and your

day begins stress-free and happy!

Making good changes in your life

is not about giving up anything

that you like. The idea is as you

add in good healthy foods, healthy

activities and positive thoughts to

your daily routine and eventually

your body will start to feel the

benefits and these positive add-ins

will start to crowd out that extra

cup of coffee in the morning, that

muffin/bagel mid-morning, or

that double decker ice cream cone

or chocolate bar (the whole bar of

course) for that late afternoon

craving before dinner and that

negative chatter in the back of

your mind. Now that your energy

levels have increased, you start

adding in more activities and more

days at the gym and even more

green salads and good foods be-

cause you like the way it all makes

you feel, and you actually see the

difference because you look great!

By now, I think you get the point.

Don’t sacrifice by giving up any-

and it will crowd out the not so

Homemade fruit spread in a f lash. I ran out of fruit spread once so I came up with this in a pinch. Tastes great, it’s healthy, and it’s simple. You can make just a couple servings for your needs at the moment, or jars of it.HomEmAdE FRuIT SPREAdInGREdIEnTS: (as much or as little as you need):FRESH oR FRozEn BERRIES - Raspberries, blueberries, black-berries etc., ideally organic.cHIA SEEdS - Usually 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon is good depending on how much you make. Not too much as you don’t want it to over power the fruit. Chia seeds have additional health and hydration boosting qualities. Tips to Better Choose

the Good Stuff:

SUGAR ~ Fresh fruits are wonderful source of natural sugars to nourish the body with, ideally organic. How-ever for some, depending on where the effect of their eating habits has them, even fruit is too much sugar for them, so do as you need to on this. Otherwise, below are some great examples of nutritious forms of sugar that you can use and even cook with and are good for you, also ideally organic:

COCONUT SUGAR - Granules with high nutrition proper-ties. Great to bake with.

COCONUT NeCTAR - Thick liquid consistency with an almost caramel taste. Great for desert sauces melted with dark chocolate with 70% and over. Both the co-conut sugar and nectar have a very low impact on the blood sugar, which is good for everyone not just the di-abetic.

AGAVe NeCTAR - While there is some controversy on this one, to me it is good on ev-erything i.e. mixed with cin-namon on toast.

STeVIA - Liquid or powder. Many good brands to choose from. Look for the ones without unhealthy fillers added.

It is a signpost pointing deeper into the purpose of your life, the opportunity to fulfill your existence. Whether you face what you feel you lost or look and run, you will move forward according to your capacity. Be kind to yourself regardless, be-cause each time you take a deeper look at yourself, you shed condition-ing, allowing more and more light to be present. This in turn opens up more and more possibilities of ful-fillment for you.

cAncER - 6/21 – 7/22Even though there is a sense of being isolated in life, it is quite the time for you. In the depth of that aloneness, there is a deep, new, yet very quiet inner guidance available to you. The sadness that comes up in the isola-tion is actually the remnants of your clinging to what you ‘know’, what is known rules out possibilities. Pos-sibilities are in the present. Choices from the past can be dumped; let go of what you think you know. LEo - 7/23 – 8/22Being armored and ready to fight brings you an opportunity to recog-nize this pattern. Even in situations that are without threat, your armor-ing interferes with the opportunities at hand. Thus the intensity of the blessings available to you are being miss-perceived. You currently have the elements available to you to un-derstand and to start going with the flow when called to do so and in your best interest. And as these new blessings come into your life, watch for the ordinariness of the blessing. Being ordinary is quite okay. Each time you find the ordinariness in the extraor-dinary you open up to and invite the next round of grace to come in.

You will find yourself turning inward with more and more comfort. While you will still notice the ghosts of the past for a while, you will begin seeing beyond the burnt rope to a deepen-ing peace. Behind the scenes of your awareness, change is eminent and pending. The change is the cosmic divine right order coming your way. The dream that you find in the depth of your heart of hearts is now very close to the surface of your aware-ness. Receive it.

vIRGo – 8/23 – 9/22We find traveling happening here. Some will be traveling geographi-cally, some will be traveling inwardly, and some both. As you find your destiny, the circumstances of what Is, embrace it; this is the key. Em-brace what Is and learn to let go. You will start finding extraordinary experiences stunning your percep-tual boundaries as they creep into your awareness. This happens slowly because one needs references for perception to come into sensory awareness.

Morality comes up now, principles of right and wrong, actions you are

willing to take and those where you draw the line. You are going to find yourself stretched between two ir-reconcilable choices. This will leave you in more pain than makes sense because of subtle almost uncon-scious sadness deep within. Part of the sadness resides in the unknowing of the purpose of your life, whilst a strong urging to participate in some-thing more than what is happening in your life today. Part of the sad-ness surfaces from the unmet need to be in control in order to be okay. This is a recipe for disaster. The choice: have that disaster, or turn inward to discover what is beyond your thinking.

You have been fighting and sup-pressing your innate intuition long enough. As you turn inward you will start to feel Source, and in that you will undergo a rebirth. The re-birth is a new start in how you think of yourself, what you think is pos-sible for you in life and/or what you are willing to do to actualize a real life. Trusting in yourself gets you started, moving beyond the exhaustion that has been plagu-ing you for longer than you know.

You will recognize that you are a lover in the depth of your heart of hearts. The lover there for you to bring into your awareness from the depth of your being is beyond your current concept and experience of love. As profound as your experience of love is, you are moving toward something way beyond. The depth of ordinari-ness that you experience on the heels of moving into a depth of love be-yond what you have known, opens the field of possibilities for you. It is abundance beyond abundance that is coming to you.

LIBRA - 9/23 – 10/22The field of all possibilities is right in front of you, and you are looking back. Look onward. You talk your-self into being okay with scraps and crumbs when the main course of life is available. Eat the main course.

Why? Guilt is the real culprit. Guilt is just you telling yourself you are not good enough. It’s you telling yourself that you are responsible for the misfortune of others. It helps you have something outside yourself to blame rather than look-

ing within and finding out the truth. Looking within will actually give you a healing. At first you will want to control what you see by explaining it away, by bringing intellectual un-derstanding into play. Intellectual gymnastics will never give you what you are looking for. You will have to move beyond illusion and find the true Self within. Once you start, and gain some clarity about who you are, you will propel yourself into a celebratory place. You will begin to dance and sing over the simplest of things. You will feel joy in the breeze touching your face, spontaneously.

Awareness is your most powerful guide. You have a certain amount of awareness that grows only as you move more and more beyond illusion, which simultaneously wel-comes healing in. The awareness that is being talked about is the seeing through the veils of reality. As you become more and more committed to seeing truth, the more you will be exposed to the possibilities in see-ing and knowing absolute truth. A real flowering of the best that a life can offer is in store. You taste the sweetness that is born of absolute truth, an infinite unfolding for those that want to play and do the work.

ScoRPIo - 10/23 – 11/21Up the ante in being friendly with common sense discernment as to whom and in what circumstances, i.e. at the farmer’s market, playhouse etc. Being friendly is a way of exercising your heart. Also practice forgive-ness. Do inventories on past injuries all the way back to grade school and let those that hurt, teased and made fun of you, off the hook. Why not? Holding onto resentment from the past only drains your emotional cur-rency in the present. The deeper the resentment, the longer it will take to notice your bank account filling back up; but trust me it will greatly open your capacity for joy and be the re-ceptive aspect of you that is one of your sweetest attributes. Some of you have isolated your receptivity to one or two areas, or solely with your children’s antics. The fact is that you have so much more capacity. Use it to expand your heart muscle in new ways; being safe of course.

cAPRIcoRn - 12/22 – 1/19You have fought the good fight. Stuff is stacked up all over. It is time to do some clutter-busting. Personal, relationship, work, home take your pick. The result of holding on to stuff that you think you may need, putting off clearing away stuff you have lost interest in etc. is exhaus-tion. Ever wonder why you get tired so much easier? Let your strong constitution lead you in the know-ing that life has an infinite field of possibilities, and clear away the clut-ter. Taking on all that is true and exciting all at once, and not clear-ing out, results in little completion.

A new leaf is ready to turn in how you approach the many fun and in-teresting projects in life. Simply make a list and start at the top. Put three things on the list and put the rest in storage, give it away, or let it go. This includes having that talk with your partner, friend or boss. Projects that have been ignored must be addressed.

You can do it. Embrace your knowing that you actually do trust your intu-ition. Take the action that is revealed by it, and in the future once you have cleared the decks some, your aware-ness about what to really do in life will become much more understand-able. In that understanding you will find a great deal more happiness.

AquARIuS - 1/20 – 2/18Laziness coins you this month. Be-ing lazy depends on the potential at hand. If you have a lot of potential, then being lazy can describe a hold-ing back from actualizing that poten-tial. Oh, and in this case a result of being trapped in a moral dilemma. Morality is comprised of a set of be-liefs that create boundaries, lines that can and cannot be crossed. It takes courage to examine long held beliefs, and to discover that there are beliefs that made sense when you were a child that are now empty or at the very least need modification. Inside there is a well of harmony that sup-ports you as you examine your life and the beliefs that hold it in place.

As part of your examination, look at areas that feel like you are carrying a heavy load. As you look, please try to avoid comparative analysis. Instead, settle deep into your heart of hearts to know your own truth. You will be faced with a conflict in politics. That conflict is in the fact that you show most people one face and hide your real face. Examine the hidden aspects of your life. You will find a new vision of what is important to you that will lead to breakthroughs. At first you will be tempted, to post-pone taking too deep a look. That is okay, just please return to sitting in the depth of the Source within. In the Source, in your heart of hearts, you will begin to experience an up-liftment, something new and magi-cal. The success will be a subtle ex-citement, perhaps hard to notice because it will be new. In that new experience, it will excite you, which you will recognize as different than fear and anxiety as you sit with the truth of what Is; nothing hidden.

The awareness that can come from this will part the veils of reality. Be-gin to know life in a whole different way, without masking the truth. This is just the tip of an iceberg to become aware of, to experience, and to enjoy.

PIScES - 2/19 – 3/20That which you have been seeking, that which you have been praying for is presently coming into view. A new vision is ready for you. You are going to have to trust what you see. You are going to be lifted up into a new dimension of life. Surely your ability to trust yourself is aiding you. Now it is time for you to move be-yond your comfort level. You are be-ing called to let go of your security blanket, which you may be unaware that you are holding onto. Having a security blanket means that you have wrapped some belief(s) around some definable concept that makes you safe, worthy, capable, justified etc.It is your readiness for adventure that moves you forward into the un-known. There is a pot of gold in the rainbow right in front of you. Step-ping into that rainbow is a guaran-teed adventure. You will be celebrat-ing as you move forward, as will we as we watch.

You have a natural capacity to be cre-ative. The areas of your life you are currently creative in are only the sur-face of how your creativity can cata-pult you into a deeper and sweeter life. Your innate creativity can also fuel your friendliness, and you will have so much more fun than trepidation.

Deep inside you have an awareness that sees through the veils of real-ity. You might ask, what does this do for me if it is deep inside and almost unconscious? Be curious about this aspect of yourself. Being curious is one of the easiest keys to discov-ery. When you access all the pos-sibilities you are ready for is up to you and the masterpieces of work you are creating in prep to receive.

SAGITTARIuS - 11/22 – 12/21Keeping a lid on things has become way too tiring. Your practice of not taking action has been begging to be addressed for some time. Even though some of the actions are small things that you think ignor-ing is okay, there is a critical mass that has started robbing you of the energy to take the action neces-sary for the important things in life.

Fighting and being prepared to fight has lulled you into a false sense of security. Source that you know and that you are, does expect you to help yourself in all ways possible. Your inner awareness has become much more visible to you of late; take action on what you notice. Isolating yourself to be safe is ty-ing up a huge amount of abundant energy, otherwise ready to express itself. The only thing in the way is your perception that your problems are the fault of someone else. This kind of thinking keeps you distract-ed and unaware of the blessings.

At the same time that you have been suppressing what is begging to be dealt with, you see/know beyond the illusion. This is an interesting di-lemma. On one hand you see/know the truth, and on the other hand you have been working hard to sup-press it. The success in your future is postponed as long as you persist in this.
