Environment is much different than larger college classes Easier to maintain a network of study partners Appearance on transcript sends many positive message to colleges Allows students to jump into more advanced math classes in college Slide 5 Topics Covered in AP Statistics This course is a basic introduction in the concepts of descriptive and inferential statistics. There are four broad conceptual themes: (1) exploring data: observing patterns and departures from patterns, (2) planning a study: deciding what and how to measure, (3) anticipating patterns in advance: producing models using probability and simulation, (4) statistical inference: confirming models. Students will use statistics as a tool to solve a variety of problems in all area, including but not limited to political science, economics, sports, ecology, law, life and biological and physical sciences. I use the HW answers to check my work, not to copy so that I have something on paper for the teacher. Organization: I am aware of due dates and can always find my assignments Responsibility (no-excuse mentality): I dont give up. I keep working until I understand a concept.
