Landscapes change naturally for many reasons.Rain and wind wear down the soil and rocks over a long

Arctic Landscapes

We can see arctic landscapes in Antarctica

There is a lot of snow in Antarctica

There are icebergs in the sea.

There are some animals, like polar bears.

In Antarctica there are lots of icebergs.

Flat landscapes

Flat landscapes are natural. A plateau is a large area of high, flat land. The biggest plateau in Spain is the Inner Plateau . Farmers cultivate wheat and barley on the Inner

Plateu. Some elements of flat landscapes are PLAINS and

PLATEAUS.

Coastal Landscapes

Coastal landscapes have an archipelago. An archipelago is a group of islands. A bay is where the sea cuts into the land. A cliff is a high area of rock next to the sea. An island is a piece of land surrounded by sea on all

sides. Mallorca is an island. A beach is an area of flat land with white sand or

pebbles next to the sea. A peninsula is a piece of land surrounded by water on

all sides except one. Spain forms part of the Iberian Peninsula.

It changes with sun and wind.

Volcano Landscapes

Volcanoes have a lot of lava on the top

Volcanoes have lava and fire. They can have rivers of lava and mountains of fire. It can change with lava, fire, and wind.

The largest volcano in the solar system is Olimpus Mount on Mars.

Mountain Landscapes.Valleys and Lakes

Mountains have two parts : the top and the foot. The top is the tallest part of the mountain and the foot is the shortest part of the mountain.

The tallest mountain on Earth is Everest in Nepal. It has 8,848 km

It changes with snow, wind, and rain.

Desert landscapes

A long time ago deserts were oceans.The desert wind that moved sand on Earth is the Sahara, in Africa

Deserts change with wind and sand.

In the desert it is 60ºC during the day and -60ºC. Some animals like the scorpion resist the cold and heat.

Rocky Landscapes

Rocky landscapes have lot of rocks and small rivers.

In Gredos there is a lot of rock and plants.

Some mountains, like Everest, have some rocky landscapes.

Mountains change with earthquakes and rain.

This rocky landscape is in Valencia, España.

Man-Made Landscapes

Cities, towns, and neighborhoods are all man-made landscapes.

In cities we can see houses, shops, librays, post-offices, and hospitals…

It can change with works and rain.

A capital is the major city in a country. Madrid, London, and Berlin are all capitals.

Wooded Landscapes

We can see wooded landcapes in forests and fields.

There are lots of plants, trees, bushes and grass.

There are lot of plants whit lot of colors.

The bigest forest in Earth is the Amazon in Brazil.

There are two main meanings for the word

landcape: it can refer to the visible features of and area of land, for example, of the genre of painting that decipts that area of land.

Landscapes in both senses, include the physical elements of land– ice-capped mountains, hills, water bodies such as rivers, lakes, pond and the sea. Living off of elements of land that ice covers including vegetation, huma elements , and including different forms.
