Page 2: Why Failure Is Awesome

One of the hardest things to do is accept negative feedback.

Page 3: Why Failure Is Awesome

Now, most people will refer to this as "failure."

Page 4: Why Failure Is Awesome

If you're a normal person, who's been through normal school, then it's been drilled into your brain that failure is bad, and should be avoided at

all costs.

Page 5: Why Failure Is Awesome

Or maybe you played sports and got yelled at when you made a mistake.

Page 6: Why Failure Is Awesome

One of my favorite commercials of all time is with Michael Jordan.

Page 7: Why Failure Is Awesome

Now like him or hate him, he and Nike (and whatever marketing company they used) made some pretty good ones.

Page 8: Why Failure Is Awesome

The one I'm talking about is when he slowly talked about all his "failures."

Page 9: Why Failure Is Awesome

Like taking the last shot at the buzzer, and missing.

Page 10: Why Failure Is Awesome

Like all the games he's lost.

Page 11: Why Failure Is Awesome

Like all the times he choked during the playoffs when his teammates were depending on him.

Page 12: Why Failure Is Awesome

Then he listed all the shots he missed (in the thousands) all the games he's lost (at least in the hundreds).

Page 13: Why Failure Is Awesome

Then he said, "I've failed again, and again and again and again."

Page 14: Why Failure Is Awesome

Then he looked at the camera and said:

Page 15: Why Failure Is Awesome

"That, is why I succeed."

Page 16: Why Failure Is Awesome

The CEO of Sony, who took their company from when "made in Japan" meant junk to a global leader in electronics was asked, "How do we

double our success rate?"

Page 17: Why Failure Is Awesome

"That's easy," he responded.

Page 18: Why Failure Is Awesome

"Double your failure rate."

Page 19: Why Failure Is Awesome

Even Babe Ruth struck out more than most people realize.

Page 20: Why Failure Is Awesome

What is failure, anyway?

Page 21: Why Failure Is Awesome

It's the natural feedback mechanism that's built deep into your brain.

Page 22: Why Failure Is Awesome

It's what helped you walk, talk, read, write, and everything else you know to do.

Page 23: Why Failure Is Awesome

If failure didn't happen, learning would be impossible.

Page 24: Why Failure Is Awesome

If learning was impossible, we'd all be monkeys throwing poo at each other!

Page 25: Why Failure Is Awesome

So why is "failure" so scary?

Page 26: Why Failure Is Awesome

Maybe because we associated it somehow with negative social pressure.

Page 27: Why Failure Is Awesome

Maybe we forgot that there's ALWAYS a next time.

Page 28: Why Failure Is Awesome

To be sure, if something really important is on the line, like a job promotion, or a championship game, not getting what you want really,

really sucks.

Page 29: Why Failure Is Awesome

But what's the alternative? Not play? Not try? That sucks even more!

Page 30: Why Failure Is Awesome

Your entire life is the sum total of your day to day behaviors and accomplishments.

Page 31: Why Failure Is Awesome

Your day to day behaviors and accomplishments are based on how you view the world, and how you view yourself.

Page 32: Why Failure Is Awesome

Change one, and you'll change the other.

Page 33: Why Failure Is Awesome

Change the cause, and you'll necessarily change the effect.

Page 34: Why Failure Is Awesome

YOU are the cause.

Page 35: Why Failure Is Awesome

Your world is the effect.

Page 36: Why Failure Is Awesome

When you embrace ALL feedback, both good and "bad," then you'll know the real secret of achieving anything.

Page 37: Why Failure Is Awesome

That ANYTHING is possible.

Page 38: Why Failure Is Awesome

This course will teach you how.

Step by step.
