Why is it always raining?!
A Look at the Water Cycle
![Page 2: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/2.jpg)
Water is never new
Water is recycled
Rain water comes from water on the ground.
How you ask?
Because water is forever moving through a cycle!
![Page 3: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
Water evaporatesinto the air…
Clouds form through condensation…
And then it precipitates

What does the sun do in the water cycle?
![Page 5: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Evaporation
What happens to water as things dry?
![Page 6: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
The sun helped the waterevaporate out of this mud
![Page 7: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Condensation
We see condensation on the outside of cold glasses of water.
![Page 8: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
When water vapor becomes cold,
it condenses into a cloud.
![Page 9: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Clouds then precipitate…
![Page 10: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
Precipitation can be:
• Rain• Sleet• Snow• Hail• Freezing Rain

So how does water do it?
![Page 12: Why Is It Always Raining](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062303/5559d6dfd8b42a93208b4ea0/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Water has special physical properties:
It can be a:Gas
Liquid
Solid

The Water Cycle Song
• Water travels in a cycle, yes it does
• Water travels in a cycle, yes it does
• It goes up as evaporation
• Forms clouds as condensation
• Then comes down as precipitation, yes it does!
