why net neutrality matters
DESCRIPTION
This is an issue which concerns one and all.TRANSCRIPT
Dear FCC,I'm Rishabh Kumar and I live in GURGAON, IN.Net neutrality, the principle that Internet service providers (ISPs) treat all data that travels over their networks equally, is important to me because without itusers may have fewer options and a less diverse Internet.A pay-to-play Internet worries me becausenew, innovative services that cant afford expensive fees for better service will be less likely to succeed. If ISPs start charging for each website; the exotic and humongous playground of users and their ideas will be jeopardized. The free flow of information will be hindered and internet will no longer be considered a liable, trustworthy source. The Internet is a place where people of all races, castes, nationalities and social and economic levels are actually equal. We get to know more about each other this way. WHAT THE FCC IS ABOUT TO DO IS ANARCHY/DUBIOUS CENSORSHIP.It will ruin the very idea of the internet.
