Mature Age ApplicantsMature age applicants require the completion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification. This includes diplomas, advanced diplomas, associate degrees and degrees.

If you apply without a formal qualification but with significant and relevant work experience, you will be considered if you are able to demonstrate you can undertake the course with a reasonable prospect of success. Additional perform-ance criteria and prerequisite requirements may also apply for some courses.

School LeaversApplicants who have just completed secondary school require the completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification. You must also meet the associated minimum ATAR score and have completed Units 3 and 4 of English with a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Recognition of Prior Education

If you are an experienced student and already have a qualification, your prior studies may satisfy part of the academic requirements of the course. This means you may be eligible for academic credit.
