Why use a BVRLA leasing broker?Whether you are leasing a car or a commercial vehicle, the BVRLA works hard to ensure that you can use your vehicle with confidence.

Our 100+ leasing broker members offer a range of services to help their customers find the most suitable motor financeand vehicle type for their requirements.

High Standards of ServiceAll BVRLA leasing brokers must adhere to our mandatory Code of Conduct, which is there to ensure that you benefit from the highest standards of service, fair terms and conditions, transparent and accurate information and a complaint resolution service.

The code requires members to provide safe and roadworthy vehicles, use accurate advertising and give clear information about their products and services. Members that don’t adhere to it can be expelled from the association.

Quality AssuranceAll our leasing broker members are audited or inspected to BVRLA standards. This includes ensuring that they have all the required licences and are operating from an established commercial place of business that is maintained to a professional standard. They must prove that they act as agents for – or have a direct relationship with – at least two leasing companies, and be able to demonstrate a track record of strong customer service.

Leasing Broker Member

ExpertiseThrough a regular stream of newsletters, best-practice guides, seminars and workshops, BVRLA leasing brokers are kept up to date on regulatory changes and consumer legislation that impact their business. Combining this with their own personal expertise, they are then able to offer their corporate and consumer customers advice on all aspects of choosing, financing and operating a vehicle.

The BVRLA provides an array of advice and guidance to help ensure that you are well informed when it comes to choosing and using our members’ vehicles and services. These include our guides to Renting, Driving at Work, and Driving a Minibus – and our industry standard fair wear and tear guides for drivers and operators of cars, light commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles.

CampaigningLeasing from a BVRLA member means that you are working with a company that has chosen to be part of a vibrant, collaborative trade body that campaigns on behalf of the industry and its customers. Together with our members, the BVRLA spends a lot of time debating key road transport issues and consulting with policymakers in Whitehall and Brussels. Some of the issues we have campaigned on include: lower fuel duty; greater incentives for low-emission vehicles; improved access to independent maintenance and vehicle testing facilities; and a cost-neutral, enforceable lorry road user charge.

Complaint ResolutionLeasing from a BVRLA member means that you can come to us if you have a complaint or are unable to resolve a dispute. Our conciliation process is quick and free, potentially saving you money, time and hassle. Our members must abide by its findings, but you remain free to seek redress elsewhere. Complaint resolution is a mandatory requirement in many tenders, particularly public sector framework agreements.

Sustainable TransportOur members enable their customers to run some of the safest, cleanest and most fuel-efficient vehicles on the road. The BVRLA continues to lobby the government and manufacturers to ensure that ultra-low-carbon vehicles are practical, affordable and are accompanied by the right long-term incentives to encourage wider take-up.
