Why We Need To Change Muslim GroupsThe Key to Freeing Our Ummah
“You may delay, but time will
not.” Benjamin Franklin
I want you to consider something...
Can one poor man alone overthrow the system of rich men who keep him in this
state?
Can one man alone, without aid, protest against injustice and stop the system that created an army of pro-war politicians, and who teach a new generation
to follow in their footsteps?
It is not one or two men that oppose you...
But hundreds of organisations, institutions and systems made up of tens of
thousands of men just like that...
Those people and their organisations use politics to ensure their agenda is carried
out, no matter who is in power...
Then why you do think that you alone can stop the organised billion pound machine
that demonises and wages war against you without waking your people and
organisations up?
Only when brave leaders in the past started to wake up their community to see the problem, and teach them to stand up against an organised system of oppression, did this educated community take up
resistance and fight the tide of oppression that enslaved them
• For if they have millions who oppose us, we have billions who are with us
• And if they have a thousand organisations, educating, organising and planning to attack us, we too have our own countless organisations and groups working to defend us…
But in reality, despite the number of Muslim groups and their manpower and
funds, they are NOT part of the struggle
to protect us
They talk about Islam, but never protect those who follow it...
And that is why we need reform
Worse still, time is not on our side
Our community must be strong enough and capable to defend itself
And change before the demonisation that they spread about us means that it’s too late to change the opinion of the wider public...
Propaganda also means young Muslims are enslaved by fear and self-hate
induced by the Media
So with all urgency we must spread the message of reform, and demand our leaders to not just talk about Islam, but to stand up
for it
To educate and to organise our people
So we have 3 Battles Ahead
Our own groupsOur own peopleOur enemies
Remember something: No change happens without opposition -
ever
“I know that societies often have killed the people who have helped to change these societies.
And if I can die having brought any light, having exposed any meaningful truth that will help to destroy the racist cancer that is malignant in the body of America – then...
...all of the credit is due to Allah, Only the mistakes have been mine.”
Malcolm X
“It is the reformer who is anxious for the reform, and not society, from which he should expect nothing better than opposition, abhorrence and mortal persecution.”
Mahatma Gandhi
At first the people who you seek to help will oppose you, for their leadership does not want reform and fear any
change
And the people without any understanding mostly follow them
But Allah is with those who believe
and enjoin the right
And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from Thee one who will protect; and raise for us from Thee one who will help!"

If Muslims don't notice your message, you have already lost
Get it on the agenda
Get people talking!
To catch the attention of distracted people to focus
on a single issue use
The Big Bang
Theory
BANG
Can you ignore this message?
The shocking power of an image to focus the mind on global warming
Or an act that makes the public sit up and listen...
Rosa Parks sits on the ‘white-only’ section of the bus – she used this tactic to force society to think
All of those groups used a dramatic example that forces people into thinking...
And got their message talked about…
TWO: Keep it on the agenda

Keeping it there:If you think people are going to
change after noticing your message once...you have too
much faith in people.
Why do you think adverts are played over and over again?
The Media uses this too Have you never thought why they keep
creating fear stories about Muslims?
Not quite convinced?
Look again...
3.Moving it up the agenda
For change to happen in society it has to be in the top conversation areas amongst
Muslims...
If you managed to make it into the top 10...Well done, now
keep the pressure up
Pressure is like the wind, as soon as it
stops, the ship stops moving

If you don’t create an urgency about your idea and it’s not seen as
a priority then this is what will happen...
“I have more important things to do! This can wait”

Lesson: If the public do not understand how
important and urgent the change is – you may as
well add 50 years to any reform you want to see...
Step 5 : Counter the opposing argument
In a battle of opposing ideas, only one will win
They either listen to you or the other person’s argument
“Voting is not important...”
Any idea that challenges your reform must be countered
If it is not, then all your work is undone by the other side who will seek to convince them that your idea is
wrong...
Remember silence never changed a single mind, nor guided a single soul...
Darkness is countered only by light
And falsehood can only be
countered by truth
"Invite to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom and fair preaching, and argue with them
in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He
is the Best Aware of those who are guided."
[al-Qur'aan, an-Nisaa'(16):125]
"Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, evidences and the guidance, which We have sent
down, after We have made it clear for the people in the book, they are the ones cursed by Allah and
cursed by the cursers."
[al-Qur'aan, al-Baqara(2):159]
With regards to the reward, the Prophet has said: "Whoever guides [another] to a good deed will get a reward similar to the one who performs it." [Saheeh Muslim]
The reform we want is only to protect and uplift the Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) Ummah, and to free the Ummah from the shackles of slavery...
"Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good,
enjoining the right and forbidding the wrong. And it is they who are
successful." [al-Qur'aan, Aal `Imraan (3):104]
By Allah we will be free...
Let us spread our call for reform far and wide, until all the Muslim groups and teachers of this earth, teach the young to defend our sisters and brothers around the world, and once
again bring freedom to a people too long oppressed
And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper.
