WORSHIP

All heaven worships God. (Rev. 7:11)

Every creature will worship Jesus ( Phil 2)

God intensely seeks (John 4)

God jealously guards (Ex. 20)

Satan intensely seeks (Matt 4)

All false gods seek

Humans always worship something (Hab. 1:11, Acts 17:22-13)

Missions exist because worship doesn't

WORSHIP

Greatest key to success in this life and the next

My greatest strength throughout all my life

Worship is the most common response of believers to revival and encounters with God.

The spiritual ceiling of any church is determined by how its people worship God

WORSHIPPERS IN BIBLE

Job: “Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: ‘Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:20-21)

David: “David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped” (2 Sam. 12:20)

WORSHIPPERS IN BIBLE

The Magi (Matt. 2:2, 11)

Man born blind: (John 9:1-38)

Crowd on Palm Sunday: ( Matt. 21:9)

His disciples: Matt. 14:33, Thomas ( John 20:28) and some women: Matt. 28:9

WORSHIP SAYS TO GOD:

The deepest love I am capable of giving is reserved for You alone

My most intense gratitude is to You for every good thing I have

I value You more than anything else in my life

I will do anything for you to please you. I will obey you always.

I humbly trust you will all my life no matter what happens!

You give me more pleasure and satisfaction than anything

WORSHIP SAYS TO GOD:

You are the Creator and Sustainer of all that exists

You alone have saved me from my sins through Jesus and given me eternal life.

You are the most wise, powerful, beautiful, creative, kind, generous, gracious, merciful, majestic Being.

You are my God, my Lord, My King, My Savior, My Master and my Friend.

I live for You. I woulds die for You. You are my all in all. You are my life.

WORSHIP SAYS TO GOD:

My life belongs to you.

Whatever you want is what I want

Whatever You love is what I love

Whatever You hate I hate

Whatever You are doing, I want to do with You.

WORSHIP IS BASED ON:

Valuing God above all else. He is your greatest treasure

Surrendering to God all of you (Romans 12:1-2)

Determining to do everything to honor & please Him (1 Cor. 10:31)

Fierce commitment to resist any competitors to His supremacy in your life, like work, pleasure, power or money:

"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.” (Matt. 6:24)

WORSHIP WITHOUT HOLINESS

“I hate your festivals; I despise them. I’m not pleased with your religious assemblies.

Spare me the sound of your songs. I won’t listen to the music of your harps. But let justice flow like a river and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” (Amos 5:21-24)

But Samuel replied: "Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.

“Leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. (Matt. 5:24)

WORSHIP REVEALS TO GOD

What we really think of Him

How well we know Him, how big is He to us.

How well we understand how fragile and needy we are all the time!

Who is ready to receive more of God’s blessings:

 “For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” ( 2 Chron. 16:9 NASB)
