opportunities to our nation's Service members and their dependents.

• The National Guard is being called upon to serve their state and country, more now than ever before• Responded to domestic emergencies (forest fires,

floods, hurricanes, and blizzard rescue)• Our Nation is at war• Guardsmen comprise more than 40 percent of the

military fighting forces currently deployed around the world in such places as Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia• Been deployed three or more times for a year or more

• Many Guardsmen seek to begin or continue their education after return

• In the current fiscal climate, Federal and State sponsored educational assistance has been significantly reduced

• Your contributions are tax deductible. The Education Foundation Inc. has been granted all of the rights, privileges and powers now or subsequently conferred on nonprofit corporations by the laws of the State of Colorado, the designation technically assigned as 501-(C)(3) status. Under these guidelines, the Education Foundation uses donations to confer tuition grants to applicants based upon need.
