Dear Parent/Carer

I hope this finds you well. Sadly, we seem to have moved back to more normal April weather

Speculation about schools reopening continues. I would just reiterate what I said last week – I will tell you as soon as someone tells me – I’m not going to believe the Daily Mail for now (or ever actually )

Some of you have contacted us re the possibility of Zoom or other media platform teaching. I know this has been adopted in some secondary schools to a limited degree, but it is not something we are planning to do at Wibsey. We will continue to send out lots of work and links but as I said previously don’t give yourselves a hard time over it. Harmony in the home is more important.

I say a huge thank you and well done this week to Mrs Hipwell. She has put together our staff message film to children and this can be viewed on our website. It’s amazing – what a talent Mrs H.

Below I have revealed the staff owners of the 4 pets from last week. Please App message in if you got any them right. I have added 4 more for you to discuss with your children. George and Mildred continue to take over my letter to children, which you will find below.

Letter to children from George and Mildred

Hello children

How’s it going with you? We have been bored this week as it hasn’t been sunny. We love our walks though – have you been getting your exercise? George has been barking and trying to chase the trains he sees in the distance when we walk on the fields. Good job he’s not allowed off his lead.

Mildred has been in a little bit of trouble for chewing a table leg. She didn’t think it mattered as it was metal. Our dad wasn’t impressed.

Ok we are going to try and pinch a bit of our Dad’s chicken sandwich that he is having for lunch. If he ignores us when we stare at him we are just going to jump up and try and knock it off the plate

As our Dad is still picking other animal pictures we are not missing out!! This is us in our Christmas outfits when we were little
