Wild Blueberry Festival 2017 Design Contest Contest Rules and Guidelines All contest participants must sign and return the 2017 Design Contest Entry Form with, or prior to submitting, your design to the Wild Blueberry Festival Executive Committee. Contestants must be 18 years or older to submit an entry. Designers under 18 may submit their design through their parent or guardian. Please read the following rules carefully, and then sign the entry form:

1. The top design(s) will be picked by the Wild Blueberry Festival Executive Committee. 2. The Wild Blueberry Festival reserves the right to reject any and all submissions. 3. Once submitted, all design(s) become the property of the Wild Blueberry Festival, and the

designer agrees to grant exclusive use to the Wild Blueberry Festival and its clothing retailer. 4. The designer must submit his or her own original artwork only. Any logos, photos, or images

used in the design must be used only with the express, written permission of the source and also grant the Wild Blueberry Festival unlimited, free use of that logo, photo, or image.

5. The Wild Blueberry Festival Executive Committee reserves the right to identify two (2) winning designs: the core design and the staff design. Staff designs will be displayed on items for staff use including but not limited to t-shirts, hats, aprons, etc. The core design will be used to promote the festival including souvenir t-shirts, promotional items, and related products. The winning designer(s) agree(s) that the compensation for unlimited use of the design by the Wild Blueberry Festival and their clothing retailer is limited to the following prize package:

-($100.00) one-hundred dollars - (1) one T-Shirt with their design on it - Recognition of the designer on the Wild Blueberry Festival webpage

6. Design Submission Format: Please email your design as a jpg, eps, tif or gif and no more than 3 MB. Winning Format: Must be in vector format (.EPS, .AL, or .CDR file extensions.) This means that the design must be created in either Photoshop (.EPS), Adobe Illustrator (.AL), or Corel Draw (.CDR). The Wild Blueberry Festival will NOT accept Word or Publisher files.

-All designs must contain the words “Wild Blueberry Festival”, “Paradise, MI” -Designs must be limited to a maximum of five colors. Half-tones (i.e., lighter versions)

of any of the five colors are acceptable and are not considered an additional color. -Contestants must also submit a black-and-white version of their design, to provide

flexibility in choosing the product background color. -Designs must be accompanied by the signed waiver on the last page of this document. -Designs may also include “Established in 1984”

7. Designs must be submitted by Monday, October 3, 2016. To the Wild Blueberry Festival by email to chairperson@WildBlueberryFesitval.org. Artwork may also be mailed to Wild Blueberry Festival, PO Box 82, Paradise, MI 49768. Winning designs will be notified by November 1, 2016.

8. The Wild Blueberry Festival reserves the right to request minor revisions to a design entry for re-submission.

9. The Wild Blueberry Festival may also make revisions to adapt a design for additional purposes, including but not limited to use on other clothing, retail items, web, print, or television production.

10. The Wild Blueberry Festival reserves the right to pick additional designs for use on additional promotional materials (i.e., clothing, retail items, web or print pieces.) The designer of which isto receive one (1) retail item with their design and recognition on the Wild Blueberry Festival webpage.
