Welcome back, Wildcat fans! We are excited to kick off the new school year with a full athletic calendar. Our student

athletes have worked hard in preparation for the new season. Cross Country is ready for their first meet in Union

Grove on Saturday, Volleyball is in full swing with the varsity team competing in the Groesbeck tournament today and

tomorrow, Team Tennis hosted their first home match of the season on Thursday, and varsity football will kick off

their season on September 1st versus Mabank. We encourage our fans to come out and support all our fall sports.

As a reminder, please don’t forget Meet the Wildcats, Monday, August 28th, 7:00 p.m., Wildcat Gym! We look forward

to introducing our football, cross country, fall tennis, and volleyball teams, as well as student trainers, band

members, cheerleaders and Kik Kats. Representatives from the PISD Athletic Booster Club will be available, also, to

answer any questions you may have about memberships and volunteer opportunities.

Positive Office Referrals!

Luke has been at Children’s Hospital since September

with numerous chemo treatments and recently just

received a bone marrow transplant.

Instead of Luke saying “why me?”, Luke is taking the

time to think of and help others by starting a charity

(#LUKESTRONG) to help families like his.

Luke is asking for NEW items to make care packages

to give to families when they find their “world turned

upside down” overnight. He wants to help them with

care packages since these families spend hours, days,

nights, weeks and even months inside hospitals.

Listed below are items that you can donate starting

Monday, February 12th and ending on Wednesday,

February 28th. There will be boxes in the office at

Story for students to drop these items off.
