The heart of Willapa Hills Farm isour historic barn. Capacity is 175seated at tables. Twenty-two 60"round tables and 175 chairs areprovided. Additionally six 6'rectangular tables are provided forcaterer use. Ample power isprovided around the perimeter ofthe barn for food service use or AVequipment. In inclement weather,both the ceremony and receptioncan take place in the barn. We alsohave two tents available.

Willapa Hills Farm's primary ceremonysite overlooks the upper Chehalis River.A number of improvements are in theworks for July & August. Included inthese is the installation of a rustictimber/log arbor that will be centeredbetween two old growth maple trees.Opposite the arbor we are landscapinga 160' planting bed with a variety ofnative plants - the primary focus ofwhich will be a series of multi-stemmedvine maples. Reflecting the rustic andnatural nature of the ceremony site,straw bales are the default choice forseating - each with a canvas runner.The chairs from the barn may also beshared between the ceremony andreception sites if preferred.
In addition, we have a variety of otherpasture, woodland and river spacesthat can be utilized to make your eventeven more unique. Let's talk!
OUR TEAMOF
In 2017 we will begin offering opportunities for wagon rides, courtesy of Ike &Zeke, our team of grey Percheron draft horses. Can you picture arriving at theceremony site in a horse-drawn western style wagon? How about a weddingparty wagon ride for lunch and pictures across the river? Or possibly a sunset ridealong the Chehalis river? We think you will agree that a team of beautiful drafthorses can add a little something extra to an already amazing day!

RENTAL PERIOD - Unless otherwise arranged, the dailyrental period is 8:00 AM entry for set-up and as late asmidnight for clean-up. If no event is scheduled the daybefore or the day after your event, early set-up the dayprior and/or clean-up the following day may be arranged.
RESERVE YOUR EVENT DATE - We require acompleted rental contract and a 50% deposit to confirmyour reservation.
DRAFT HORSE SERVICES - Currently Draft HorseServices are the only service not included in the rental fee.Contact us for more details.

Willapa Hills Terroir
First – the shoes! A working farm is truly a rustic venue, andyou will not only want to look the part, but stay comfortable aswell. Skip the pricey “wear them once” wedding shoes and optinstead for something with more comfort and more character.Think sandals, cowboy boots or even some well embellishedsneakers for backup!
Remember, you will be outdoors! Just as you would for apicnic by the river or camping in the woods, you will want toremember sunscreen and insect spray. A basket with a fewsqueeze bottles of sunscreen and insect repellent will keep yourguests comfortable and sun-safe. And ladies, use SPF 30foundation under your makeup!
Speaking of makeup, less is more, especially with fragrances.You are sharing the venue with all things natural, and heavyperfume or cologne is greatly enhanced and can beoverpowering on a warm, sunny day.
Decorating for a wedding is fun, and farm décor can be botheasy and economical. Don’t worry so much about complicatedbouquets and table centerpieces – what’s wrong with a masonjar full of sunflowers? Burlap, canvas and gingham cost a lotless than satin and lace, and will make your wedding uniqueand memorable for your guests. Table decorations made fromnatural materials create the casual, rustic atmosphere you hadin mind when you chose a rustic venue.

Q: Do you allow alcohol at events?A: Yes, with some restrictions outlined in thecontract. Most importantly, servers must havea valid Washington State Mandatory AlcoholServer Training (MAST) Permit (Class 12).
Q: Do you provide tables & chairs? Whatabout linens?A: Yes, we provide 60" round tables and chairsfor 175 people. We do NOT supply anyadditional banquet supplies (linens, tablesettings, etc.).
Q: What if in addition to the barn and theceremony site, I also want to use the riversidefire circle, the west pasture and frogs perchswimming hole? How much more will it cost?A: Let's see, that would add up to... zero, zip,zilch additional dollars. The farm (minus offlimit areas) is yours for the day. One price -use as much or as little of the available facilitiesand property that you would like and enjoy!
Q: Should I bring my fly rod?A: If the fish are running on the upperChehalis, it is only reasonable that you at leastconsider it. Fly fishing is an important part ofany relationship.
Q: What is the capacity of Willapa HillsFarm?A: The maximum capacity of our barn is 175.
Q: How do I reserve my rental date?A: Complete and return a rental contract withdeposit and your date will be reserved..
Q: Do you allow outside caterers/vendors?A: We have a list of preferred caterers andphotographers, but these are onlyrecommendations to assist you by highlightingknown and trusted individuals and companies.You may always use the vendor of yourchoice.
