365 DAYS A YEAR

Contents his time of year is one of reflection, of shopping for last-minute gifts, spending time with friends and family, and making resolutions for the year to come.As the Pioneer Review completes its seventh year, I am grateful to everyone who has played a part

in the growth and success of your county newspaper. Our readers and advertisers have helped me reach new heights of community journalism in our county. As I wrap-up 2015, it is no secret that this year has presented all of us with challenges and great opportunities. I often discover how lucky I am to find myself in the company of those making a difference in our communities, and extremely grateful having given the ability to record and share your stories. The Pioneer Review was about growth in 2015. During this year, I added pages and provided new content. Additionally, I opened the only newspaper office in Colusa County, located at 430 Market Street in Colusa; I can properly serve our readers and community. After all, isn’t this something you’d expect from a local newspaper? I would like to thank everyone for their support, trust and confidence. Without you I wouldn’t be able to accomplish these goals. Over the last several weeks, I have been planning the upcoming publication year and in the review of the last 50 issues, I become incredibly proud our growth. With reader feedback, I was able to identify the strengths that I can build upon, and the weaknesses I plan to overcome. Speaking of the new year, a few surprises are to be announced and I hope you will be as excited to hear about them - stay tuned. I hope you enjoy our special Christmas edition, and contained in these pages; you’ll find your news and a host of special treats. I wish you all a Magical Christmas and a prosperous new year.
