Hand forged stays are beautifully unique and a functional work of art. These peg stays support open windows and help ensure closed windows stay secure. They are available in R9 Black and R9 Pewter Patina to match the handles and come in 8”, 10” and 12” sizes and are offered as a working stay or dummy stay.

These hand forged designs go through a very thorough and individual four hour hand forging process to give you a completely unique item, which is crafted with skill using only traditional techniques. The attractive finishes are practical too, being durable and corrosion-resistant, which is low maintenance and resistant to moisture so can be used in bathrooms and kitchens too. Add charming character to your already beautiful Residence 9 windows.

Your Residence 9 windows are the essence of style and equally suited to both modern and period properties, create a perfectly matching window with the contemporary range of handles and stays. Inspired by 19th Century ironmongery, but with modern production processes, your windows will exude sophisticated elegance with the R9 Monkey Tail or R9 Tear Drop designs.

For a more contemporary presence a range of handles and stays in R9 Monkey Tail and R9 Tear Drop designs are available in Hardex Gold, Hardex Chrome, Hardex Graphite and Antique Black. The R9 Monkey Tail design is also available in the additional colour of Painted White and is exclusive to Residence 9.

You can specify traditional R9 Butt Hinges to maintain original features which modern windows often lack as the hinges are hidden, losing the character appeal. Choose from working butt hinges or dummy butt hinges, both provide an authentic kerbside appearance in exquisite ironmongery. Working peg stays and working butt hinges can recreate a true timber alternative and are a great addition to complement your Residence 9 windows.

Below shows the working R9 Butt Hinge in Painted White, they are also available in Black.

The R9 Butt Hinges have been specifically designed to ergonomically fit Residence 9 windows. Both working and dummy butt hinges have the same appearance when closed. Dummy butt hinges are mounted onto the appropriate position to the outside of the window and allow the use of modern egress and friction hinges. Choosing dummy butt hinges with dummy peg stays from the R9 Hand Forged Range is visually traditional with modern functionality.
