Sheffield Window Centre is a local family business, established in 1975 with more than 40 years of continuous trading. We

manufacture high quality uPVC windows, doors and conservatories in the heart of Sheffield. Over the years, we have worked hard to build a reputation as the double glazing company that you can trust, offering beautifully crafted, custom made products, honest advice and first class customer service.

The majority of our staff have been with us for over 15 years, and they all share our family’s commitment to providing the very best levels of quality and service to every customer.

We pride ourselves on the fact that, if you contact us for a quote, you will always get our best price first time. All of our quotes are sent by post after a brief visit and we NEVER use pressure or sales gimmicks to sell our products.

We are FENSA registered, and are members of every reputable trade association, including the Glass & Glazing Federation, Conservatory Association, The Glazing Ombudsman and more.

Most people will already be familiar with the benefits that uPVC brings to the replacement window industry, such as increased energy efficiency,

Not all uPVC products are the same though, which is why we manufacture all our windows using the market leading REHAU profile system. Developed in Germany by the same global polymer manufacturer which produces moulded bumpers for the likes of BMW and Mercedes, REHAU uPVC profile is produced in the UK and accredited to the very highest quality standards.

REHAU’s profiles are extremely strong, which means your windows will never warp. They also have a bright, smooth gloss finish, bringing your home to life and are virtually maintenance free, whilst retaining the same perfect finish for decades to come.

All our windows are made to measure in our Sheffield factory and our friendly sales team can help you to choose the perfect style, shape, colour and finish to enhance the look of your property – whether that is contemporary or traditional. We can accommodate virtually any bespoke design and can advise on the best solution for even the most complex installations.

peace of mind that you and your home are fully protected. They are internally beaded as standard and are fitted with the Maco Mk 2 multi-point shootbolt locking mechanism (see diagram 3). We also fit anti-jemmy devices and steel friction hinges to all vulnerable opening windows (see diagram 2) and, of course, we make sure that all our windows are manufactured to the BS7950 enhanced security standard.

One of the most important factors to consider when choosing a company to replace your windows is the quality of the guarantee. Every product we install carries a 10 year guarantee and, as we have been trading continuously since 1975, you can relax in the knowledge that we will still be around if service work is ever required.

Of course, the days when all uPVC windows were white are long gone and we now offer a full range of woodgrain finishes including Rosewood, Mahogany and Golden Oak from stock and even foiled colours such as Cream, Green, Grey or Black which match the texture and finish of timber windows but with all the inherent benefits of PVC. Even if you want a more unusual colour, just ask our sales team and we’ll almost certainly be able to match it.

We can also advise you on the most energy efficient solution for yourhome. Our standard windows are A rated in energy efficiency, which will help you to save money on your energy bills at a time when prices are constantly rising.

And, if you want the optimum in energy efficiency, then we have a range of triple glazed windows available which are among the most efficient A Rated windows on the market.

With the Energy Saving Trust estimating that up to 26% heat loss from homes is via poorly insulated windows, our A rated solutions easily justify our claims that they should be seen as an investment and not a cost.

Our windows come in a wide range of colours and are also available with a grained effect, which means they look like a

traditional timber window, but have all the modern advantages of uPVC, such as being more secure and thermally efficient and virtually maintenance free.

Oak. All our colour choices are available with white on the inside if required, and we can even paint your windows in a RAL colour of your choice.

There was a time when replacing timber box sash windows with uPVC alternatives meant compromising on the look and feel of a

traditional property. Not with Sheffield Window Centre.

Our Sliding Sash Windows replicate the styling of timber box sashes so accurately that they are often approved for use in conservation areas. With a deep bottom rail, slim sashes, decorative horns, true Georgian bars and a slim mullion section, they actually enhance the styling of a traditional home. They also slide easily and smoothly, putting an end to the sticking and rattling associated with timber and, as an added bonus, they tilt inwards for ease of cleaning and ventilation.

Mock Sash Windows are an attractive alternative to the more traditional vertical sliding sash window. The top hung casement provides ventilation and can also be locked in the night ventilation position. The lower sash is a tilt and turn window, which can be turned inwards for ventilation and easy cleaning.

These dual-purpose windows are a popular choice across Europe, and an increasingly popular choice here in the UK. Our Tilt and

Turn Windows are ideal for providing extra ventilation or a fire escape opening and are easy to clean, enabling the outer pane of glass to be accessed from inside your home.

If you turn the handle once, the window will tilt inwards, allowing fresh air into your property. Turn the handle again and the window opens inwards on side hinges - just as a door would.

Tilt and turn windows are also extremely secure, they come as standard with a Maco all round multi-point lock, and shootbolts. Like all of our windows they are also very energy efficient.

Our windows can help you make the most of a Bay or Bow Window feature in any property, maximising a panoramic view or just

making you feel closer to your garden. Choose from a traditional sliding sash, a uPVC mock sash, or a more modern design to complement the style of your home.

Our expert design and installation team can even create a bay window from a flat window to add a traditional feature to your home if required.

Unlike timber bay windows, uPVC replacements require very little maintenance and are far more energy efficient and secure. Of course, we always use strengthening bay posts on all of our bays, so you can rest assured that when replacing your bay window with our products, the structural integrity will not be compromised. Replacing your old windows with a more energy efficient alternative doesn’t mean that you have to lose any beautiful existing stained

glass or compromise the character of your home in any way. It is possible for us to retain existing stained glass by encapsulating your original stained glass inside a double glazed unit, effectively making it triple glazed.

We are one of the only double glazing companies in the UK to employ in-house specialists dedicated to the restoration and enhancement of original stained glass. With over 30 years experience in this delicate art, we can offer you a unique and totally bespoke service.

Here at Sheffield Window Centre, all of our windows are made-to-measure
