THINGS TO REMEMBER…
Log onto the DER netbooks using: Firstname.surname@detnsw
Password is your Portal password Access the internet using your usual
portal username and password After changing passwords, you must
connect the DER netbook to the DET network using a network cable the first time you log on for the password to be re-set for the netbooks
Always run the battery down completely before re-charging to get the most out of the battery

SLEEP MODE
Press Fn+ F4 keys for Sleep mode Sleep mode is also called Standby mode All data is kept in memory Power load reduces and saves energy Computer resumes from sleep mode faster
and at the same place when sleep started Light indicates computer is in sleep mode
(computer beeps) Press On button to ‘wake’ computer from
sleep

TAKING SCREEN SNAPSHOTS
Use Home/Windows + S to take a screen shot of the desktop or any open application
The snapshot can be copied to a section of a Microsoft OneNote notebook OR copied to the clipboard to insert into another document.
OR Use the Snipping Tool from the Start menu
so the image can be copied or saved as an image file (e.g. JPG) to use in other applications
