General Conference InformationABOUT PCNP The Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (PCNP) is the state association that represents the interests of more than 10,000 nurse practitioners across the Commonwealth. Composed of 18 regional groups and members-at-large, PCNP has been advocating for professional practice and improving access to high-quality healthcare since the 1980s. PCNP proudly offers the largest nurse practitioner educational conference in the state, and is dedicated to providing a dynamic event for attendees and exhibitors alike.
COURSE DESCRIPTION The PCNP Annual Conference is a three-day conference offering current information to enhance the practice and professional development of nurse practitioners who care for patients across the lifespan. Both primary and acute care topics will be presented as well as workshops with hands-on learning. Networking opportunities are incorporated to enhance professional growth.
COURSE OBJECTIVES Following the program, the participant will be better able to:
• Integrate evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice.• Apply current pharmacotheraputics into clinical practice.• Verbalize understanding of current policies affecting NPs both regionally and nationally, including how to effect change.
ACCREDITATION/CONTINUING EDUCATION This education activity will be submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for approval of up to 19.5 contact hours of accredited education.
POLICY ON FACULTY AND SPONSORSHIP It is the policy of PCNP to have the faculty and sponsors disclose real or apparent conflicts of interest relating to the topics of the educational activity. HEADSHOT BOOTH – Put your best smile forward as you sit for a professional headshot. Generously sponsored by NSO, the headshot booth will be available two days during the conference. Bring a business professional top to wear for your photo, or don your white coat for an NP-specific headshot. A professional photographer will take several photos, and you can pick your favorite. The digital file will be emailed to you after the conference, where you can use it on social networks, on websites, in print and more! REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICYAll registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by Oct. 6, 2017. A refund of the full conference fee, minus a $75 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received by that date. No refunds will be granted for requests received on or after Oct. 6, 2017. Submit all requests to Executive Director Peggy Pearl at [email protected]. PCNP regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. Refunds will not be processed until after the conference.

EMERGENCY ILLNESS OR DEATH OF REGISTRANT OR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERRegistrants who are unable to attend the PCNP 15th Annual Conference because of a serious illness or death may receive a partial refund (amount paid minus the $75 processing fee) or full credit for a future meeting (as applicable) in the following instances:• Personal illness or death of the attendee; or• Illness or death in the immediate family of the
attendee. Immediate family refers to a person’s parents, spouse, children, and siblings and will also include the parent’s spouse.
Requestors must submit the request in writing to the PCNP Office along with written documentation from a doctor. The Executive Director and PCNP President will review the request to ensure it is in accordance with written policy.
