Greetings Kona Kai Members,
These changes may seem a bit confusing at first, please remember there will always be someone to answer your questions and be of help

I am pleased to inform Kona Kai members of the changes to the office staff as of 1 January 2020. #1 - Sharon H. has decided to step down as office manager to spend more time with her family, she has a new grandchild. Sharon will still be part of the Kona Kai office family and will be present on Tuesdays. We are glad Sharon will still be around for a good chat and help. #2 - Sharon S. will now be the office manager and her days will be: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The board is so pleased that Sharon will step into this position. She brings several years of experience working at Kona Kai. Thanks Sharon we are all so pleased. #3 - Lore Van Criekinge Komad will work Mondays. #4 - Marion Schade - a face from the past - will be working most Saturdays, while Lynn Grandi will be filling in as needed.

Rules if people are waiting for the tennis
courts
1.5 hours for singles and doubles regardless of court 1 hour for the ball machine 45 minutes if a single player on the court
When members waiting for courts, one court per family membership (new addition)
New Academy Clinic
The Academy is planning to start an advanced
tennis clinic for players 4.0 and up, on Monday at 8pm, if there are enough players at the level who express interest. If you are, please contact the
office at [email protected]
Ball machine balls - We put in 120 new balls and after a few
weeks there were only 80 in the machine.
Where do they go???
The Men's Combo 8.5 team has reached playoffs, which will be played in January. Good luck to the team!
Vi Truong will be forming a competitive Women's 40plus 4.0 team out of Kona Kai for the regular playing season of January through March 2020. If interested, please inquire by December 15, 2019 at
415-794-5539. Or contact Vi/AJ.
We are making some improvements to the tennis patio form to make it easier to use. Please continue to use this form as it helps us collect useful information to make better decisions in the future when we schedule events that might impact court usage. If you have any suggestions on further improvements, please email the club manager and these will be forwarded to the Tennis Committee.
