New Employees

We would like to welcome Melissa Sablon and Benish Mirza to our Advanced Financial family. Melissa is a part-time teller at New Providence and Benish works in the Accounting Department.

This time of year, many people resolve to get their finances in order. To have a good year when it comes to your finances, here are a few key things that you should do:

• Set a budget. Review your budget and make changes as needed. It is really important to have a budget in place so you know where your money goes and to make sure that your money is working for you.

• Create a plan to pay down debts. Becoming debt free is one of the best moves you can make, since it will eliminate your financial stress.

• Start a retirement account. If your employer has a 401(k) plan, you should think about contributing to it. If you need to start a separate one or have a 401(k) and need to roll it over, contact Richard Rose or email him at [email protected].

• Check your credit score. This should be done a few times per year, and you should review both your report and your score so you can make sure there aren’t any mistakes or potential fraud.
