FMI on Campus RecreationVisit: uml.edu/[email protected] | 978.934.2327

ATRIUM REDESIGNOur Atrium renovation is well underway and is anticipated to finish by mid-January.

We are relocating our welcome desk closer to our main entrance with optical-style

turnstiles, new flooring throughout the Atrium, and additional fitness space in the

front of the facility. Follow our updates on twitter @umlcampusrec.

LOCKER ROOM FLOOR REPLACEMENTBoth CRC locker rooms including showers and saunas will be closed December 20 - 28 to replace the flooring. Patrons should plan accordingly on these dates. Our patrons will have access to a shower inside the men’s and women’s restrooms on the 1st floor of U-Crossing (220 Pawtucket St). Visit: uml.edu/ucrossing for open hours.

Patrons will still be able to change inside the first or second floor restrooms in the CRC. We apologize for any inconvenience while we continue to make facility improvements.

HALLWAY LOCKERSYou may have already noticed, but we have added additional locker storage in our

hallways outside of the basketball and racquetball courts. No personal locks needed,

simply follow directions to use the mechanical lock on each locker!

Cricket clinched the American College Cricket Northeast Championship title this fall. Congratulations to the team and player Venkat Reddy who was named the best bowler of the Northeast!

Club Golf landed a spot to compete in the National Tournament in Myrtle Beach. They placed 10th out of 14 teams with a 3rd place finisher. Club Golf President Dawson Prophett says “we added some new faces and look forward to competing toward the National Tournament in the spring.”

Cross Country/Track and Field Club continues to grow with many new faces. This XC season, the team competed in 3 meets, one of which was a travel meet to NIRCA Regionals in New York. The team kicked off their indoor season competing at the UMass Boston Indoor Open. They are very eager to see the improvements that will be made in the spring.

Field Hockey made program history this semester. Going 6-2, they qualified for Fall National Championships in Virginia Beach. Although they lost in the quarterfinals, forward Natalie Anastasio and midfield captain Taylor Polomarkeno were named league all-stars. The team is very excited to push their potential for the spring!

Rowing has grown to 70+ athletes! In addition to racing well at the Head of the

Charles and hosting their annual Halloween Regatta, they took home 7 medals at the

Textile River Regatta: silver medals in the Men’s/ Women’sVarsity 8+, Men’s/Women’s

Varsity 4+, Men’s Novice 4+ and bronze medals in the Men’s /Women’s Novice 8+.

They hosted their 2nd Annual Boys & Girl Club Rowathon, rowing over 2.5 million

meters in 12 hours, raising over $2,500 for the Boys & Girls Club and the rowing team

to offset their spring training costs.

Men’s Rugby started out their season strong with wins against Roger Williams and St. Michael’s. The team made it to the Rugby Northeast Championship and fought a hard battle, but unfortunately fell to Norwich University, 19-13. Captain Craig Crossley racked up the most tries for the team with 7. Vice President Zack Ferreira lead the team with 24 conversions and 78 total points. Although the men did not conclude this 15s season the way they envisioned, they are very excited for the 7s in the spring.
